Also still a very nice prospect pool. Expecting that will change in the offseason. If Strome is gone that’ll start it all.

The run has been nice, no doubt. But you can't look at this team, or this homestand, and say you think they have a chance against Calgary, Colorado, Carolina or any top contender. It's been a fantastic run, and they deserve credit, but let's not let this run overshadow how this team isn't a contender

To be fair to the success under Boudreau I never had this club as a contender. Make some summer moves and tweak it. Saying that all but Demko Petey and Hughes are available is a pipe dream. I wouldn't expect much more than a few minor moves this summer.

To be fair to the success under Boudreau I never had this club as a contender. Make some summer moves and tweak it. Saying that all but Demko Petey and Hughes are available is a pipe dream. I wouldn't expect much more than a few minor moves this summer.

Imo underwhelming return. Good for Pitt.

They might sign Karlsson and Lammikko (mostly because he'll be relatively cheap and is a good 4C), but I think they will be looking to get rid of Miller and Bo simply because those two are the "core" and the reason the team is where it is right now. I agree with whoever said that Hughes/EP40 are complimentary pieces. We need someone like a Bedard or not even at that level/draft prestige but at least a MacKinnon or Matthews that can drive play and elevate the team around them when necessary and can grow with the Peteys, QH's and Demkos.

I don't see the team going full rebuild . Going to the game a couple of weeks ago was an eye opener of what it is like in the real world outside HB. They are making outrageous money , having a great time . Selling merch , drinking expensive beer , eating bad food for big bucks and a general party. Aquillini is not tearing this down and going full rebuild for Beddard.

Hard to beleieve they couldnt get a 1st. He is a UFA, Boeser an RFA. If Allvin made that trade for Boeser he shouldnt be a GM.

I see as no panic & building a market for potential trades. Still in the assessment phase nearing its end. Dermot is a subtle change that has some nice potential. Cap management is still a priority & will lead to how some changes go down

yeah because he is another new GM with no reach or depth. All he has been doing is cashing checks and riding Benning's team with a new coach. He will probably give Demko the C in the off season....
