Klingberg is pretty shaky defensively from what I've read and seen - Nucker101
He’s ok but brings some offense & size. It’s the price/term that will matter. Age is an issue but there isn’t much of an option out there for RHD. Never is lol.
So don’t make a play him we are back to square one. Leaves us with trading for a good young RHD prospect that won’t come cheap. LAK come to mind & they need scoring from the wing. Boeser hopefully.
Faber or Grans but they still add. |

Allvin confirms that Vasily Podkolzin has been papered down to the AHL and can join them for an AHL playoff run.

yeah because he is another new GM with no reach or depth. All he has been doing is cashing checks and riding Benning's team with a new coach. He will probably give Demko the C in the off season.... - TJTD
Ya im sure an experienced GM like Rutherford doesnt help at all. They all just cashing checks |

This team needs a guy who can babysit Hughes effectively first. Klingberg isn't it and wouldn't get PP1 time here |

Yes I’ve actually gone luke warm on Klingberg. The focus might have to be on the top 9 & a full camp under BB. |

Still sounds like they are evaluating their players and prospects and are trying to offload before they start assembling. Also sounds like they have been paying close attention to lockwood and Rathbone and said they will see time with canucks - Codes1087
I'm just listening to the full interview right now.
Right now
Mentions getting younger and creating more cap space,
"Would you have liked to have ducked or created more flexibility in an ideal world? "
His response.
"It's just not only to create cap space, you want to make sure you are looking at the bigger picture, how you want to build the team and what you want to accomplish."
"You can do both things there, looking in every way to improve the hockey club"

Right and his boss was a GM for years and has the reach and depth of experience he was referring too. Its pretty clear who is running the show imo. |

It gets confusing in here when you ask who is running the team. It changes daily.

I see as no panic & building a market for potential trades. Still in the assessment phase nearing its end. Dermot is a subtle change that has some nice potential. Cap management is still a priority & will lead to how some changes go down - Nighthawk
I think its less about not panicking and more that this management group is still very new. I imagine they don't have as much information on players from top to bottom that they would like. I think summer time is a more suitable time to make moves given how recently the turnover was |

JR is guiding the ship while he delegates to ppl whilst mentoring them. A process that has the time given where the team is at. |

Yes I know . It makes him available for Abbys playoffs. Also a pretty clear message that the new Mgmt doesn't think Canucks are a playoff team.
Paperwork needed to be done very soon for him to qualify.

proof is in the pudding. If the roster was "bad" then they would have traded the pieces. Benning needed Rutherford, but Benning is gone. Canucks needed Bruce, but Rutherford didn't hire Bruce. The Canucks didn't need Allvin, but we got him....

I don't see the team going full rebuild . Going to the game a couple of weeks ago was an eye opener of what it is like in the real world outside HB. They are making outrageous money , having a great time . Selling merch , drinking expensive beer , eating bad food for big bucks and a general party. Aquillini is not tearing this down and going full rebuild for Beddard. - VANTEL
A bump due to restrictions on seating and masks being lifted is not going to last very long. I don't see FA willing to see empty seats once the team mediocres it's way to complete irrelevancy once the Boudreau Effect ends (if it hasn't already) |

I helped Loady out a bit last week. 5-7. It seems my scoring falls off only when I match up against the 4 ahead of me. If not then goalies shat da bed. My team is solid but a bubble team like our Nucks but I WILL make the PO’s. - Nighthawk
I have a feeling he will pass me next week as he's playing one of the dead accounts at the bottom of the standings |

Hansen once again with a great take:
"What needs to happen with Tyler Motte?"
Jannik Hansen: "It doesn't matter. He's a 4th liner. These are fringe moves. The changes this team needs are way more expensive than the Tyler Motte's" |

Why would you waste the opportunity for a younger player to get valuable experience if he can?
Allvin said he hopes they continue the push for the playoffs.
Management not thinking the team is worthy of the playoffs and papering down a player have no correlation at all. |

Pretty much agree. Panic could also be read as knee jerk. I’m fine with letting the process take place. I’m not on Confusion Island with how or who runs the team. Until a very significant move has been made I’m cool with how things have gone so far with the new regime. |

I don't know if Boudreau Effect is correct . They looked burnt out. They have been trying to catch up for 30 games now .
The masks and restricted occupancy is not a sure thing so no use getting concerned about it yet .
