I just logged in . Let me get this right seeing I haven't caught up fully . We traded Hamonic for a third. Downgraded by trading a third for a Dman that Leafs couldn't dump fast enough and everyone is happy.

I very seldom watch Leafs hockey. I might see 3 or 4 periods a year, so I can't really say how Dermott is. His 5v5 numbers are decent, that is all I can say on Dermott,other than he is now a Canuck.

The games I watched Dermott was terrible or useless. Leafs have been scored up 5 goals or more a ridiculous number of times in their last 15 games .

Fans here are so desperate for change they are even happy for bad change. Dermott is not a good player.

Hes only signed until next year. If he doesnt pan out, fine, but hes got a decent amount of experience seem to be liked in TO before this year.

You might say he is a taller, better skater version of Brad Hunt. I really don't see him being another more than an acceptable 3rd pairing defender, that you hope never has to move up the line up.
