Well on the d corp you have their top two with Truck and Larsson, add Soucy in for top 3. Borgen and Fleury get the good long look here. Pouliot gets a chance to come in and show himself too. Then there is Dunn. So should prove interesting there. I think if they had dealt out Soucy and had to call up and put in Carrick damn but that would have been god awful at that point.

Yeah and honestly at this point what would a couple more picks be worth? Kraken have 34 I think now? Damn that's a lot in 3 drafts.

Saw the pick up and its an ok move there really. I just dont get why keep him with Charlotte and not bring him up? Not like couldn't use a guy with some experience up at this point to finish out the year but guessing maybe because they want a better look at some others.

Could just go up and down after seeing some other guys as you suggested. The guys must know where they are and who they are at this point so it's not like they are trying to show faith in "going for the playoff push" here.

Hey Cush! Honestly don't sweat this guy, clearly in need of some attention. Kinda wonder if he is really ok? Seems to be just unbalanced some. Maybe winter blahs or off meds or something?!


Back to Kraken stuff....

Interesting talk from Francis on having the 34 picks and plans going forward. Focus on building through the draft and being active in the offseason putting the team back together and much better next season. Even said he might not use all the picks but use them to bring in talent off other teams via trade.

At this point looking at the N(M)TC they have Eberle, Schwartz, Gourde, and Wennberg, plus Donato, McCaan, Donskoi, and Geekie. Lind hopefully makes and sticks with the big club. Sprong made an impact his first game so will see cause he is there too. Chance is there for him next season at this point. Have to think Beniers makes the jump and comes in possibly.

That forward corp isn't going to scare many people. They likely need to get some better offence in there I would think.

On the back end is going to be some significant changes there. Truck and Larsson along with Soucy should be pretty good locks. Fleury should get a long look. Borgen should play bottom pair next year, and would say Dunn likely sticks unless they upgrade which I kind of wouldn't mind, but he is signed at 4mil for a few more. Pouliot will wait and see on him but...

Net they are locked in with Gru and Dreidger so dont see that changing at all.

Having 4 second round picks could be interesting there. Likely where Francis could make some in roads in a trade.

THANK GOD!! I'm actually really happy this was the case. Soucy really took some massive leaps and improved from the start of the season and he is a keeper. I think Truck, Larsson, and Soucy are the big three for the future of the defence. Add what you can but he is absolutely important on the back end.

Chatter on the Kraken picking up Dadonov from Vegas. They have plenty of cap space to be able to accomodate him and seems it would come at the cost of the Knights adding a 1st rd pick.

Not that I want to see anyone help the Knights out of the cap hell they put themselves into here, but IF it were a 1st I think that sweetens the pot up and Dadonov could be a decent addition for some offence next season too.

Well considering how he has played since going back to Vegas? Yeah I wouldn't have minded him being on the ice for Seattle last night against the Kings. Boys battled hard but just yeah, lack of firepower up front completely. They compete and try but....

Still can't figure out the system Hakstol has in their own end. Looks like man to man coverage but they get running about, bumping into one another, bad swap of guys and chasing about. Just seems so damn disorganized.

On a plus note loved the look at the farm team setting up. That should get stocked pretty well for next season, and bonus having them all playing the same system and being closer for call ups.
