Reminder: Just because Copp is playing LW doesn’t mean he can’t take faceoffs. We’ve seen that with Goodrow all season. #NYR

Besides the face offs, I'm interested to see who goes down low in Dzone to help in corners on that 3rd line.

Gallant said this about possibly using Copp on PP2:

"I told him this morning, ‘If you're on the second unit power play, you might get 10 seconds.’"

🤣

I love Gallant. His coaching record is pretty damn impressive except for his first stint back in the day. I wonder why he doesnt stay around

looks like this Dadonov trade for Vegas-Anaheim will be voided and that Vegas has got themselves in quite a little pickle

Little surprised that Reilly Smith isn’t a Ranger. I guess it was him or Vatrano

I think it’s fair to say that one of Copp Strome or Chytil will be gone after the season. Which one? Copp is priority #1 imo and If Strome is smart he’ll know the situation he’s in and won’t wanna leave and in turn maybe he’ll do a discount. We need someone to take a hometown discount ffs. If not he’s gotta go. Chytil would stay. But rn I’d trade Chytil and keep these other two if possible

How much can they pay both Copp and Strome, 11 mil? Combined? will that work with the cap?

5.5 each or something like that

I think so. But I believe they were acquiring Kessler to gain LTIR cap space.

Another funny moment during our first meeting with Copp, Motte and Braun.

The legend himself, Sam Rosen, had his phone go off during the interviews (NFL on Fox intro as his ringtone, BTW), and Copp casually goes, "That's a fine," before continuing with his answer.

I don't know, I kind of want to see Copp play a few games first before I start dishing out long term deals. See if the fit is good
