Last time I checked a top 6 could only dress 2 RW. Atkinson, Farabee and Konecny are more than 2.

Can you move them to LW? Sure. Would you want either 3 as your top line LW? Are you moving Lindblom down to the 3rd line? Laughton to the 4th?

- xShoot4WarAmpsx

Last I checked there was no rule to playing top 6 players on the 3rd line if you have an excess of player talent and can afford them on the cap. Increasing the talent level on your team. You seem to have this archaic view of NHL lines. Really good teams have 3 scoring lines if not 4.

This is just another in a line of recent posts you've made filled with hyperbole such as the standings are irrelevant. 5th round picks are useless. Now Konecny is a luxury.

I know you (and others) will say the exact same thing 30 days later in spite of what I say below, but ...

1. Carjacking (and motor vehicle crime and indeed all violent crime) has gone up across the nation very sharply last few years, irrespective of towns small and large, and political affiliation of administration. Just go to the FBI Crime Explorer page and check.

2. Even with its own very sharp rise in carjackings, Philadelphia is nowhere near the the worst in carjacking rate.

3. Rittenhouse square is a very safe area by the standards of big city exclusive areas. I have lived within a 10-15 min walk of the square for the past 30 years.

4. (And while you did not say this), Florida may have no income tax, but it has higher property taxes and is in the bottom 20% in housing afforability. Further, the absence of income tax is only relevant for the games played in tax-free states. Florida has 3 Canadian cities, and also teams with Michigan, NY and Ma (all high tax states) in its division.

In summary, it is highly unlikely anyone in the NHL is choosing Florida over Philly because of high taxes.

You didn't get it. It was sarcasm but never pass up an opportunity to educate us.

Farabee's been playing LW.

There's no logjam at forward, especially if they do something w/ JVR this summer.

- Tomahawk

Ok move Farabee to LW. Whos your top line RW?

If Atkinson or Konecny are good enough for the top line RW we clearly dont need top end talent. No need to add anyone. Clearly this team is good enough with the following lineup

Farabee-Couturier-Atkinson
Lindblom-Hayes-Konecny
Laughton-Frost-Tippett

Ristolainen doesn't clear the porch, nor is he effective physically.

Travis Konecny lol. He's performed up to the level of a top-line player before. He's only 25. That line of Lindblom Coots and TK stomped everybody at both ends for the better part of a year.

Yeah, you could trade TK, then pray your lottery draft pick will be ready to fill that hole in 2-3 seasons, or hope Owen Tippett or Frost blows up and fills it sooner, but the probability of those happening are smaller than simply hoping TK gets back on track. Unless you want to pay $8-9M for Nazem Kadri or hope that Forsberg/Gaudreau somehow get to UFA.

And for the record, I have no idea what your train of thought is with these posts. Are you trying to make them better now, or are you tanking for Bedard? You've kinda said things that would suggest you want to go in both directions lol.

Really good teams have 3 scoring lines if not 4.

Unless you're the Rangers and you have 1 scoring line, 3 checking lines, and a goalie permanently standing on his head.

It came from the Comcast propaganda machine. It is stunning how easily some just repeat what they've heard.

Just wait until the Flyers are better next year but not yet a legit contending team. Many will be fooled.

I am open to both directions. I go with the direction that makes sense. Part of me hopes they suck because I do want Bedard but I believe they will be competitive for at least the Wild Card

The point is on this board people are saying we need top end talent. If Konecny is a Top line RW, Couturier a top line C and Farabee a top line LW. What top end talent is needed to make this team a contender? Who are you moving to make room for top end talent?

Flyers apparently should have no problem being a top team next season right?

What did people expect Chuck to do the last 48 hours? Maybe I’m starting to go soft but endless female doging about the guy after this deadline? I just don’t see it.

I would speculate that right now, after seeing Ristolainen play a season outside of Buffalo. The number of GM's willing to fork out a 1st rounder for Ristolainen has dwindled down considerably. I would also speculate that the Flyers had some preliminary calls and didn't find much interest for Ristiolainen. Albeit in a smaller market at the deadline than during an off season. I would also speculate that Ristolainen's agent read the tea leafs and realized that the demand for his client would not be what they had hoped so they signed the Flyers deal.

Chuck did perfectly fine at the deadline. Those complaining are ironically the biggest Chuck/Flyers organization defenders. They somehow expected the Giroux trade to move the needle toward contending next year. To them, it was all part of the plan for Fletcher and company to wheel and deal this team back into it next season.

Again, if you have those 3 on a line, there's no more room for top end talent on the team?

Tk is 3rd liner
Coots is 2c
Bee most likely 2w

They if healthy will be nowhere near playoffs but with hart just a little too good actually not bad enough to be in running for bedard.

We get both of both worlds. female doging at the dysfunction for decade
