Atta boy MacEwen. If the guy wants to go after Farabee…do your job.

We’ll speaking for myself living in buffalo I seen tons of risto. I said exactly what he is. And it’s what everyone is female doging about now
- Stayin alive

Yes, I know he has his share of flaws and you would know best seeing it firsthand. I always liked what I saw the past few years when he played against us. Now mind you, I was comparing him with the guys we had on D so that's not the best sample

Also on risto… buffalo fans had same opinions of him.

The good and the bad.

Finally got fed up with him and just wanted him gone. Waited for sucker to take him.

And fletch came a calling offering more than anyone by a mile

Yea not looking good tonight after a decent showing on Sunday. I am still interested to see how they play over the remaining games.
- Don Nachbaur

For sure….I’m hoping the change of scenery jolts him a bit….he was so good coming out of Jr. as was Frost. They need to hit on these young guys …pure and simple.

I’ve come to accept that they are going to let Yandle run out his streak the rest of the season, but what are they gaining by playing him on the PP? Why not give Sanheim or Risto some time?

You are incorrect on all counts. Remember the tying goal in the Montreal game? I supported Ristolainen and criticized Sanheim for making two mistakes on the play.

Get your facts straight. Look in the mirror and realize that when you have to criticize me instead of the actual comments. Perhaps that's because your comment isn't on solid ground.

Don’t worry most of know Risto must have stole your prom date years ago and you are still not over it.

I hear what you are saying, but a lot of things can happen between now and the beginning of next season that could change the direction dramatically. Acquisitions, trades, coaching changes can move the needle.

Capped out.

Sanheim has real offensive ability. If he could produce as a PP defenseman, it would really increase his value. He's never been really given a chance and that is not just on this current coaching staff.

Agreed…Sanheim has picked up his game. They need to feed his confidence. If it’s a performance issue over the last month he deserves a look.

Another 1 goal loss. Damn if we were healthy we’d be right there with Boston caps. So laughable

Exactly. We aren’t “showcasing” anyone anymore. Anyone who won’t be here next year should be getting minimal minutes and allow the younger players and guys that will be returning to play more and see if they can find some chemistry and build on something from next year.

More like in a few months, when the pile of evidence is stacked so high that it becomes undeniable, you'll start ragging on Risto too.

Same thing happened with AMac... early on so many of you were singing his praises, his shot blocking, his mobility, his cap hit would shrink into nothing as the limit increased, yada yada yada. Literally nobody was defending him by the end, and nobody will admit to ever defending him now.

He was just a bad player from start to finish... just takes some people longer to realize it than others.

Yandle continuing to play top PP minutes is just ridiculous.

I just hope Fletcher doesn’t resign Yandle. He’s made so many other bad moves I wouldn’t put it past him.

You never know. Miracles sometimes happen. I mean Yeo is playing Provy with York and Farabee at center now.

Ummm… Raising my hand. MacDonald was a better player than given credit for. For most of his career he was at least a solid defender. My issue back then that I have learned from is I valued the defensive defenseman too much. Nik Grossman was another similar player that I supported. Now I realize that as the game has evolved, those players still have a role but it shouldn't be a large one. It should be as a role and situational defenseman. I adjusted and learned what kind of defenseman makes the biggest impact.

Lol good point! It does seem like there is something personal about it though. I don’t think he is good but he’s has some redeeming skills but he’s not being used right. He should be the offensive dman with a more defensive partner.
