Lol good point! It does seem like there is something personal about it though. I don’t think he is good but he’s has some redeeming skills but he’s not being used right. He should be the offensive dman with a more defensive partner. - Hosher12
That's archaic. If you're going to play in the top 4, you have to play both ways. There is nothing in his usage or deployment that is preventing him from being more aggressive offensively.

No, it was very well done. Flyers were threatening, carrying play. Why risk it? |

Sanheim has real offensive ability. If he could produce as a PP defenseman, it would really increase his value. He's never been really given a chance and that is not just on this current coaching staff. - MJL
but you're discounting the opinions of multiple coaching staffs watching him practice day in and day out. is their assessment that he's just not a PP defenseman worth less than your armchair GMing that he is and just "needs a chance"?

More like in a few months, when the pile of evidence is stacked so high that it becomes undeniable, you'll start ragging on Risto too.
Same thing happened with AMac... early on so many of you were singing his praises, his shot blocking, his mobility, his cap hit would shrink into nothing as the limit increased, yada yada yada. Literally nobody was defending him by the end, and nobody will admit to ever defending him now.
He was just a bad player from start to finish... just takes some people longer to realize it than others. - Tomahawk
Philly didn’t get it then and they don’t get it now. Same for some fans |

Risto is the physical manifestation of the poor decisions made by the Flyers management that MJL hates so much |

On the first EN goal it looked like he didn’t realize there was an empty net….he seemed to sit back….and then went ‘oh,(frank)’. |

Fire phucking Yeo tomorrow!!!!! That's just brutal coaching! You are getting pressure just rolling the lines and down by a goal, and you pull the goalie with 3 minutes left without your team having possession of the puck? A fireable offense! Talk about NOT having a feel for the game. GTFO!!!! |

Great game boys!!! 2 points closer to the bottom |
|

For sure….I’m hoping the change of scenery jolts him a bit….he was so good coming out of Jr. as was Frost. They need to hit on these young guys …pure and simple. - landros 2
Absolutely! That's all we have to look forward to in these meaningless games.

Flyers doubling up Wings in shots. Carrying play. Drawing to within 1. JVR could have had another. Sanheim just offside. Provy had net to shoot at. It's 3 mins left. Goalie pulled.

Why the last thing we want is to start winning games. Yeo can coach us all he wants this season. MTL, ARI and SEA are all starting to catch up

I saw plenty of him both at point and front of net on pp in buffalo. He’s not really good at it. Here and there sure. Nothing to build on. He is what he is.
He can be a productive bottom pair limited minutes and situational. Problem is he’s not paid that way and the tease of some good play here and there just enough to fool you. Buffalo learned and raped philly laughing the whole time.
Fletch instead of seeing it this year doubles down. That’s what horrible horrible gms do. |
