Ummm… Raising my hand. MacDonald was a better player than given credit for. For most of his career he was at least a solid defender. My issue back then that I have learned from is I valued the defensive defenseman too much. Nik Grossman was another similar player that I supported. Now I realize that as the game has evolved, those players still have a role but it shouldn't be a large one. It should be as a role and situational defenseman. I adjusted and learned what kind of defenseman makes the biggest impact. - MJL
I give you a lot of credit for owning that one haha!

Exactly. Without fail every Risto mistake has a MJL rip attached to it. Sanheim makes a mistake, rarely gets mentioned. Even Yandle doesnt get ripped as much as Ristolainen. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
Yes, so true, but everyone else is misinformed, clueless, or wrong according to MJL. Must be nice to be perfect and infallible.

Why the last thing we want is to start winning games. Yeo can coach us all he wants this season. MTL, ARI and SEA are all starting to catch up - xShoot4WarAmpsx It's promoting a losing culture. Phuck that! It's a pathetic decision unless he truly is trying to throw the game. Even if the Flyers finish last you know damn well Buttman will rig the thing so they miss out on #1 like he did in 2007. |

That 4th goal is what bothers me about Hart's goaltending. Can we say buh bye to Willman? He's simply not an NHL player. Next up please. That's what the rest of this year is about. Finding out if anyone down in the minors can play in the NHL and Willman ain't one of em. Thanks. |

So who would you have put on d, given who was available? Do you even have an answer? You can only sign players that are available. - black_francis
He won't answer that - says it is irrelevant to Risto. Flyers needed help on D and as we all know, there were/are very few quality D-men available. We weren't getting Jones, Hamilton, etc, so Risto was one of our options at the time. It's a shame you can't have an opinion on here without being called clueless by MJL.

Theres no such thing as a losing culture. These are professional athletes, no one is happy with a loss. Listen to how former sabres plays spoke about the locker room last season. Everyone was miserable. No one enjoys losing and no one gets used to it. Im willing to bet the same can be said for the locker room right now. I doubt anyone is happy
