That’s about his value to the Canucks imo. The QO is only a number. Can he get that on the open market? I doubt it but anything is possible. Comes down to staying the course & unfinished business. Is he loyal to that ideal will be answered in the offseason. He must know he’s important but also he doesn't stir the drink.

Doubt he's going to compromise on term and $$. Buchnevich is a good comparable, same sort of points the last couple years, similar age. He just signed for 5.8. I think Boes will come in around 6.25 on a longer deal.

Team identity & consistency are the big challenges for every team to find success. The deeper the core the more resiliency to stem losing streaks. The depth of good teams minimizes prolonged dips keeping the season on the rails.

I think these NTC clauses should be publicly available. If the other details of the contract are public, so should all of it be.
