Hes huge for sorokin, I don't see him moving - Upstate_isles
Also if sOrOkin gets injured who’s playing net? Lou always takes care of the net. |

Unfortunately the one with the smaller cap hit is almost entirely untouchable, but the difference is only $1M.
I'm not totally sold on the idea they'll trade Varlamov unless the return is something they can't say no to.
I'd say that Varlamov for Fiala straight-up is something I could be interested in, but I don't think that really fits the Wild's cap situation. Maybe they could retain $1M or so to make it work, but I'm not entirely sure that'd do it either.
I think they're going be extremely hesitant to trade Varly. - eichiefs9
Yeah the Isles have Sorokin on a contract barely above Talbot’s and for 2 years I think.
I don’t think they’d want Varly. I hate to see Fiala go but if they trade Dumba the defense is thin. Guerin is in a tough spot.

I think I read somewhere earlier today that Raty ended the season on a 6gm point streak. 40pts in 41gp for the kid (13g, 27a) Good for 14th in the league in scoring. He also played fewer games than almost everyone ahead of him on that list.
Looks like Jurkurit is making the playoffs. Wonder if he doesn't sign and finish the season in Bridgeport if they have an early exit. - eichiefs9
Gawd I hope so. Wanna see that kid on NHL ice so baddd… |

Yea it doesn't seem like there's really a fit for both sides there, unless a third team got involved and I'm not holding my breath on that one |

just caught up on all the comments in last thread and this one...
"I remember when Toews was traded and a lot of this thread, and one person in particular, was touting how he didn’t live up to the hype and had a piss poor playoffs so he was expendable. So yeah trade Wahlstrom and while we’re at it may as well trade Barzal also. Hockeybuzz GM’s is right " Capt...
Toews was moved b/c of 2 reasons... 1. they would have lost him in the expansion draft for zero b/c they could only protect 3 D-men... if you protected Pelech, Pulock, and Mayfield...who were at the time thought to be more valuable then Toews is gone.
2. they were up against the cap and had to still sign a bunch of guys..
"I say trade all young, talented, players if they hit a rough patch. Anyone under 40!!!!! " Capt..
He didn't have a great playoff series and pointing that out after the trade wasn't saying u want every young player who has a bad game gone.. it's trying to figure out why they moved a player we all liked. He was 4th or 5th most important D-man at the time and u could only protect 3.
Pretty Ironic that the guy who constanly wanted to trade Wahlstrom, Mayfield, and Bellows b/c they were a Bust .. is constanly pointing out how terrible Beau is takes shots at everyone else.
when the Islanders signed Mayfield both u and Cheif were furious they spent that much money on him for long term.. you said numerous times that Wahlstom and Bellows were busts. And constantly shtting on Beau who is basically a Career avg 20 goal scorer per 82 games... and post season avg is 25 goals per 82 games. He scores HUGE goals and works every shift.. Hit OT goal in game 6 should be enough to get him some respect. 15 goals, 14 assists in 49 playoff games.
But yeah.. he sucks.

Ummmm, ok. Well, based on the quotes that you pulled, and just reading them without any other context, I would have to lean towards that was Capt. being sarcastic. Obviously he will speak for himself. I know Tito isn't his favorite player because of the streakiness. I personally don't have anything against the kid. I think he works hard every shift and puts his heart into each game. That said, if he was put in a package to land Chychrun, I would be in favor of that. |
