Are you mocking me because it hurts so much. - SuperSchennBros
The Flyers were out of the race since what, late November/December? You don’t think they started to discuss their trade destination leading up to the trade deadline? I know you aren’t the sharpest tool in the shed but try and keep up on the simple things. |

Actually you don’t know me at all. It’s weird you think you do.
Why do you care if I buy the story so much? Why does it matter to you? I posted that to piss you off and it worked. |

There is no information that I have seen that suggests that Laughton is done for the year. - MJL
Its me speculating. From what I gather its likely a concussion and given how this season has gone, no reason to risk him coming back

How many times does a concussion actually keep a guy out more than a game or two? And I don’t recall him being a guy that’s had a few already. |

What do you mean? Florida wasn’t bidding against anyone. - SuperSchennBros
Its simple, if you don't get any value back, you don't move him.

yes I can ignore it. Call them both up where they belong. Not that hard. - hello it's me 2050
You can only bring 2 out of Allison, Tanner and Igor.
What do we Allison inevitably gets injured again? You have to send two guys down to bring two up and once you send them down theres no coming back since we have no call ups left. From what I can see on Capfriendly now, we only have 21 healthy bodies.
Thompson and Laughton are the other 2 roster players and both are hurt. If anyone else goes down at that point you are playing short.

He gets injured he gets injured. That's life.

We are in this boat because of his constant game of whack a mole with his call up approach. Mayhew for a game and then down for no real reason, Willman same, Bunny same, Ratcliffe basically same. We exhausted a lot of call ups for our terrible "you didnt earn in it your 7 minutes" BS we have been doing for the last several years.
It has to stop and now we are in the penalty box as a team because of it. |

How many times does a concussion actually keep a guy out more than a game or two? And I don’t recall him being a guy that’s had a few already. - ClaudeFather
How many is not really the trouble. The trouble is coming back before the injury heals. A concussion is pretty much a bruised brain. Im not a doctor so some of this could be a little off but my understandng is it is caused by your brain hitting the inside of the skull which what is happening any time a guy gets hit.
Playing with a concussion and getting hit hard enough can make the damage worse like Pronger. For a guy in his late 20s on a year where we could possibly finish last, I dont see any reason to not just shut him down

Just wanted to point out that Pronger's concussion was an ocular one from the high stick. That is uniquely different than standard head contact concussion.

He's one of the bigger attention seekers on the board, but it's still kinda surprising to see him admit it so openly lol. |

I dont think that had anything to do with it. The Call up limit is only post trade deadline.

Right, so why are the Flyers taking the approach that they are? - MJL
I don't know what approach Fletcher is taking to be honest. You are assuming he is going to try to trade his way out of this, but I'm not so sure. For example he was on Flyers daily yesterday with Jason M and he mentioned that his focus is on trying to get the right player in the upcoming draft. He also talked about why Tippet was his choice from the Florida system, and mentioned that he could use the 2024 1st round pick as a trade chip since every team wants another 1st round pick. That does not sound to me like someone that is solely trying to trade his way to the top.
As I mentioned before, I think a GM has to look at all avenues to improve his team, drafting, developing, trading and free agency. A balanced approach is what is needed. I sincerely hope Fletcher goes that route. |

Pretty sure it’s a bigger issue if you have them repeatedly but Laughtons injury almost looked more like a neck issue, still can have a concussion. I’d expect to see him back next week. |

There are some good things Fletcher has done. I don’t think anyone can say all of his moves are horrible. But the same could be said for Hextall, before him Holmgren and before him Clarke. The point is his “leadership” has led us to today. Yes there are some built in excuses but in the end he’s the guy in charge of a failing , once proud Flyer organization. He may get one more kick at the can for next year, but he’s out of time to turn this thing around….Regardless of what we all debate around here….Fletch is on the clock. - landros 2
No doubt about it, Dave Scott said as much in his last presser. |

You're not so sure? What do you need to be hit over the head? What has he done the first two off seasons? What have they said in press conferences?
The Flyers are not going to take a patient draft and develop strategy. They are going to be aggressive. |
