Hughes at least you can say makes up for it with his point totals, EP isn’t anything special offensively these days. He’s good, but not great. And his fear of physicality gets exposed in games like yesterday. Just like Boeser’s lack of speed does.
These players should be available for trade this summer. - Nucker101
All of them should be available. Not all of them should be traded, but if you want to get better, changes have to be made. |

I’ll be disappointed if we don’t see at least two significant trades made this summer.
Everyone knows this core isn’t good enough so it’s time for change
Some fans need to stop with the Panthers and Avs comparisons. This core isn’t Barkov/Ekblad/Huberdeau or MacKinnon/Makar/Rantanen/Landeskog |

Yup. I hope this team makes significant changes this off season.
I get very envious watching big, strong punishing teams like last night. |

Keep cherry picking
You can make any 2nd line player sound like a star like that |

Ah yes, a 2 month stretch is cherry picking. Eliminate the TG chunk of the year and thats over half the season
Besides, you said "these days", what else could you have meant by that than in recent times?? |

Both of them more than make up for their faults with their benefits. Not many of the other players on the team can say the same.
Being tall or being heavy isn’t a benefit in and of itself. - 1970vintage
It definitely helps in the physical part of the game, as long as slow doesn’t go along with that.
I prefer watching a heavy team play, hitting opens up ice for the smaller guys. You need both to be successful. |

Or the fact that maybe his wrist is finally feeling better. I don’t see the Canucks trading him more insulating him with bigger wingers that create space for him. Ruby’s Crouse suggestion is exactly the type of player the Canucks should be going after. |

I like watching the Avs and Panthers play. They have speed, size and skill. They can pretty much dictate the style of play from there. |

I agree. I’ve even noticed a difference in his attitude over the last 20 games or so. His reaction to Horvat’s goal last night was surprising. Pouty was ecstatic. Haven’t seen that kind of emotion from him in a long time. |

It is only acceptable to reference the entire team record during The Budreau Era. Individual player performance is irrelevant (unless you mean Miller). |

Yes, but as you say, heavy and slow, or tall and slow is just as detrimental. Remember Dana Murzyn, but not prime Murzyn, talking late stages Canuck Murzyn. A traffic cone on the ice would have a better chance at stopping a winger going wide. |

This site used to be so different. Most on here these days would have never survived back then. The commentary was brutal, cutting, no holds barred. But done with wit and humour. Those days are long gone. |

I wonder how a player like Ed Jovanovski would fit these days? |

He would get brutalized for his poor positioning and defensive gaffs by half of the people and immortalized for his tough hockey and offensive capabilities by the other half.
I think the team just has too much of the same thing. Not enough diversity. |

How many hockey sites do you guys participate in? The little bit of time I put in here is more than enough. Couldn’t imagine doing this shtick on multiple sites. |
