I really like Farabee, he reminds me so much of Bill Barber in that you can put him out there in any situation and he will do very well. - jd250
Farabee has all of the potential in the world. The kid isn't even done developing yet. He seems to have found his game again playing with TK and Hayes but if farabee was center then who played on his wings? |

Do you think the Flyers will trade Sanheim before they trade Provorov? To be honest I think Sanheim has proven to be better this season. Still don't understand why Sanheim is not seeing PP time but instead Yandle still out there. York has looked great on the PP BTW. - jd250
yes as he is under contract for only 1 more year. I do not see them committing long term to him.
I predict they move both!! I wont be shocked to hear Ivan asked to be traded.

So you're moving off of your prediction of O'Brien being on the Flyers next season? - MJL
Yes of course, he is injured again. Its really unfortunate but par for the course with Flyers' prospects it seems. |

Last night I think in the 2nd period Farabee came down his right wing 1 on 4, crossed into the Blue's zone and made a sweet cut to the middle of the ice where he got off a good shot on goal. It was indicative to me what Farabee has the skill to do if he has his confidence. I hope to see more of that from him. BTW, how did Frost look last night? No points, only 3 shots on goal and a -3 in his last 5 games. |

Injured or not. Even if healthy he was not going to be a Flyer next season. He will need AHL time. You're prediction was never realistic.

The push to the playoffs began last night. We had our "Gloria" moment against the team that were inspired by the song. Only an 18-0 run (19-0 including last night) and some help from other teams. Well, a lot of help, and playoffs here we come.

Due to the ridiculous NHL television contract I had no choice but to not watch it.

So no player has jumped from NCAA Hockey East to the NHL the very next season? I don't disagree that O'Brien would have probably spent some time in the AHL, but I really thought after watching him last year he was going to have a chance to make the big club next year, but this year was unfortunately another injury plagued season. To his credit O'Brien tried to play through it but this probably only made it worse. When the kid plays and is healthy he scores at a 1 point/game pace, which is what Farabee did his one season at BU. He also has the shoot first mentality which the Flyers are looking to get more of. BTW, if you watch Berube's post game presser, he was lamenting how his team continues to pass up really good shooting opportunities, so I guess the Flyers are not alone with this problem. |

Can the Flyers get Hayes to mentor Ratcliffe on his technique? Isaac could be an excellent 4th line left wing. Plays heavy, long, PK potential and talent enough to finish when given opportunity. |

Retorts like this are pointless. Did he say that? No.

I only saw the highlights cause we don't have ESPN+, but based on the stats it looks like he had yet another invisible game. I'm sure his supporters will make it sound like he played great though and did all the right things.
- Phillywhiteout
Frosty is making progress but he still can't close. Needs to bear down in svoring position. He plays very creatively but half of his plays fail. He still needs serious work on strength in upper and lower body. But I would give him another year bc of skill level. He might be a late bloomer. He didnt have a problem scoring in the AHL and made some eye opening plays/goals. |

He is so good at protecting the puck, if he can continue to get his skating on track he makes the Flyers a much better possession team. - jd250
If he can just stay healthy. He’s been looking great |

What’s going on with Sean Monahan in Calgary? I know he’s on a pointless streak but they actually healthy scratched him. I’d kill for him here. - hereticpride
Accumulated injuries. He's physically trashed. Career derailed. It's a real pity too, because he was good for awhile. |

Sure but what does that have to do with O'Brien's realistic chances of doing that?

Ryan Kesler 2.0? - ClaudeFather
Actually yeah, he had the same hip locking problem that Kesler had. Along with major wrist surgery that's affected his ability to shoot the puck. Plus he refuses to take pain killers, so playing thru injury is gonna be tougher for him.

Joel has the potential to be a 1st line winger. Do you mess with that by trying him at center? - hello it's me 2050
Depends on how good he is at center. I think ultimately he should stay on the wing. I am not against using any player to the best of there abilities. If that is Farabee at center so be it.

I only recently became more optimistic about Morgan Frost. I think the reason has to do with getting Owen Tippett in return for Giroux. Frost and Tippett are familiar with one another from the world juniors. Most importantly though, by trading G and getting a young player in return, it’s officially time to heading into a new era. From now to the end of the season, it’s evaluation time.
Personally I’d like to see a little less from Tippett. What I mean is, it’s nice that he can handle the puck. It’s nice that he’s physical. It’s nice that he works hard. It’s nice that he can shoot. My issue with Tippett so far is, I don’t think he needs to be “the guy” for his line. I’d love to see a Farabee, Frost and Tippett line, where Frost and Farabee are driving play and maybe Tippett is playing more of a Knuble role 5 on 5. |
