While so many want a better draft position, be happy that the team we all root for and complain about, beat a contender. Never root for your team to lose. Let’s go Flyers! For starters, damn any player who doesn’t do his best for the team to win a game. So good for the Flyers!

Habs were 1-5 on the PP. One of those PP's was only 44 seconds though. So Giroux played basically a quarter of the shorthanded minutes for the Panthers.

Hodgson showed more ability to help the team win in one game than MacEwen has all season.

Weird comparison which why Hodgson was put on that line but you would be correct.

I mentioned in an earlier post for them to stop winning. I do not want them to lose but I also do not want to see them go on a 13-5 run to finish the season. They are playing much better since getting a few players back healthy. That's not surprising. I also think York is MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better than Yandle, Seeler and Connaughton. His ability to make good choices with the puck has really helped the team.

In the end, if the young players play well and some vets get there game going the right way I think that is a positive for the team. With the playoffs out of the question I just don't think winning is as important.

I think we all want this, I looked at their schedule, you hope they play hard, that the young players get experience and belong. You hope Hayes, TK and Farabee continue to gel. You hope Hart finishes solid. Then, you are lying if you don't hope they finish close to last, all the time putting in full effort and moving forward.

How is the herd on HF taking Hodgson outplaying Morgan Frost?

HF logic: Frost surefire top 6 center. Owen Tippet bust.

Do you think the Flyers will trade Sanheim before they trade Provorov? To be honest I think Sanheim has proven to be better this season. Still don't understand why Sanheim is not seeing PP time but instead Yandle still out there. York has looked great on the PP BTW.

From last night seems like York has taken time from yandle. The 4 on 3 yandle was hearing the plan. But York then skated out to hear the plan and yandle was sat.

Sure but what does that have to do with O'Brien's realistic chances of doing that?
- MJL

based on what we know now yes, his chances are 0. But last year there was a chance based on his play.

I was back and forth on the games. He and Barkov started the PKs with G taking the draw, Barkov stayed out (had 4 minutes of pk time) and Giroux would change once the puck was cleared. At least that's what I noticed.

Lol. I questioned why he was in the lineup. But low and behold he has two points. Weird how someone with no nhl experience played better than other players we have.

Isn't there always a chance with a first rounder. You didn't say there was a chance. You flat out predicted it.

Morgan Frost is really showing a lot of really neat skating around and taking shifts.
He is really doing great cause he missed a year a year ago.
Looking forward to games that he can muster maybe 5 SOG and be a guy we need on ice in clutch situations

Even w the trades, they are not falling that low. They will end 5 -7 from the bottom. Pointless rooting for them to lose. I’d rather see young players like York, Tipp and Frost make a difference.

York looks like a keeper for next year. Let’s find a few others. Jury is out on the rest, but let’s use this time to find out.

Rather see Tippett and Frost mixed in w our too 6.
Said another way, those guys gotta play w Farabee, Hayes or Atkinson even if that means Frost plays the wing like G when he started.

maybe a silver lining if York can really be good on the right side.

I agree with you guys. York so far has shown he belongs and should have been up sooner.

well if we're no getting a top 5 pick then we better be resigning giroux to a nice home town discount cause there is nothing in the pipeline for this team to make us better for the next few years

Agreed! As frustrating as they have been, I just can't root for them to lose.
