I wonder if it's concussion protocol
- keaner17

Possibly but wouldn’t the intermission have been enough time for that? Although he did that two solid shots off the face mask both unsnapping buckles so who knows

Could be that he complained about headaches in the lockeroom.

Colton scores and that is likely the game

I hope they tell us and it doesn't get shut down behind the Lou/Trotz wall of silence.

Seems they could have called a crosscheck on Stamkos on that goal but it doesn't matter.

Back to back losses to playoff teams doesn’t have me overwhelmed.

It been the story of season. They can beat up on the lesser teams but lose to the good teams.

#Isles Barry Trotz said D Sebastian Aho was "nicked up," which is why Grant Hutton was up on emergency recall from Bridgeport (AHL). Trotz says Aho will travel to Columbus.

I'll say this about Trotz, no matter how wrong he may seem to be, he sticks to his plan

He was “nicked up” because the Bruins pounded him to a pulp and exposed his ass.

Sounds like keeping pretty much the same lineup for next season would be a recipe for success.

Obviously a very well coached team that can play great defensive hockey.
But when playing other good defensive teams with more elite scorers the shortcomings are exposed.
Lou needs to add some youth and speed to make you a contender I think.

My 2 cents on Domi- was listening to one of those hockey blog interviews where they talked to his father. the one thing that came up that I didn't realize is that Max is a type 1 diabetic. This is a very difficult thing to deal with as professional athlete b/c your levels are difficult to maintain when you are working out. It takes a lot of discipline, creates a ton of dietary challenges and constant issues trying to check and maintain your levels.. His Dad said he had a really tough time in Arizona b/c of all the travel made it even more difficult ... which was why when he was moved to the Habs he did so well... most of their games aren't that far away..

A lot of times players who are diabetic are often seen by coaches, fans and even teammates as uncaring, lethargic or not fully committed when if fact it's just that their levels are low during games. I know Jay Cuttler dealt with that a lot. (I'm sure Kakko does too).. Anyway.. long answer but I think he will do a lot better in Carolina as the travel schedule isn't too bad and he has a much better surrounding group of players. I wouldn't mind the Isles taking a shot at him this summer.

Looks like Cory Schneider has been added to #Isles roster. Should learn more about Sorokin tomorrow.

My 13 yr old son is a Type 1 Diabetic we found out when he was 3 years old. He plays just about every sport under the sun and its a constant challenge with his numbers and sometimes I have to remind myself watching him that he could be feeling off that day because of his numbers. He wears a censor on his stomach and he uses the pump so we can keep an eye on his numbers on our smart phones which is a huge plus. We can see if his numbers are trending up or down and we are able to decide what actions to take based on those readings. Never a dull moment that's for sure

I wish your son a long healthy life and hopefully, we will find a cure for this and many other diseases that need to be cured. That said it’s a hurdle in his life and he should know, great players like Bobby Clarke played with type 1 diabetes so he can achieve whatever he wants and most likely will.
Dealing with these issues typically make us stronger. Obviously I don’t know you or him but wish him only the best.

Thanks, I appreciate it. It's not easy but he is a warrior and never complains and just keeps doing his thing which we love. I didn't realize I posted that under my other account

It does go by really fast. I had twins a few years ago. They'll be 25 this year. Time just flies.
