All because of one linesman that completely butchered the Matt duchene call that time. Now every goal is like “ wait, was it offsides 1.5 minutes ago?” - cburgess
the league should try to have more goals scored imho, not fewer, and I find that sort of rule isn't helping to make the game any better. but I guess there isn't really any workaround to be put in place... |

Agreed but atleast they are actually playing the game. Did he tear his acl or something? Jeez - cburgess
Carey Price's health is sorta like jebus, it works in mysterious ways.

Agreed, but missed calls happen all game long, why is it just offside that can be challenged? Why can’t a team go back 3 minutes and see if their guy was tripped and if he was, that would cancel out a goal being scored. It’s pretty stupid. |

Think Carey feels guilty cashing his cheques at this point? - cburgess
Also, I would think that substance abuse would violate the terms of his contract, so there’s that.
No lawyer here, too dumb.. |

I’m not even talking about that part, hopefully that’s all dealt with and he’s better. It’s the sore knee thing dragging on for 8 months or however long it’s been since the Stanley cup final that gets me. |

and there's also the goalie interference calls, which are even more poorly managed lol... oh well, one day perhaps they'll be able to make some improvements.

I hope that fans at the Bell will continue next year with this positive vibe they have going on, encouraging the team even if they're trailing or losing, it's refreshing. as long as the habs keep giving this kind of effort I guess it'll stay the same. |

No pat, that’s not what I posted.
I would imagine that there something in his contract that states he cannot abuse substances.
I know that’s a standard in whl contracts, I can’t imagine it wouldn’t be in a nhl one.
Again, no lawyer here.. |

on a side note, why is Michael Bunting in nomination for the Calder at 26 years old, while he first started playing in the league in 2018..?

Ya, it’s just easy when you have many 4K cameras around the rink now and can slow it down frame by frame. Of course it looks like an obvious missed offsides call, or the goalie was rubbed .2 seconds before the puck went in when you get that technology involved. But the refs and linesman dont have that luxury. |
