If you define success by $ alone then I actually feel sorry for you or anyone who feels that way. Most financially successful people want less government for sure, because it suits their situation.

If you want to put “history” into the equation then I think you need to say that historically speaking, successful people want less regulation (not government) so that it is easier for them to exploit others. Unfortunately for them, the role of government is to look out for its entire population…
