it is now.
(it's really the area code where i live, although when i got my new phone i thought about my past and decided to get a new number so some of those people can't reach me anymore and they gave me a 609 number, so now my area code doesn't even match my real area code)

seriously though, I agree 100%. especially after this pandemic, which has surely accentuated the solitude and isolation that some people were going through even before covid happened.

i think the internet became actual life for some of these people during lockdown (possibly before lockdown for some of them).
