Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. As tough as they were, they didn't get anywhere. Hockey isn't the schoolyard it once was (unless you are playing against the Bruins and Colin Campbell is the director of player safety).

A good goalie & special teams top my list or a team sinks fast. How the team is built doesn’t matter if that’s not in place

We’ve all said this & that on our views of this team & the season.

I still maintain the PK overall broke the season. It has nothing to do with toughness or talent. Had everything to do with Green & Baumer. Hence season likely sunk.

Injuries didn’t help but we coulda had more scoring.

Why wouldnt he still on the lineup next year?! Dermott plays both sides on D. Id love to see anyone over 4 mil not named Hughes out the door. Makes no sense that you cant have both on a roster next year. Turned useless Hamonic into a 25 YO with potential

See what happens when you jump in on a debate without back reading? You have no idea what has been going back and forth and you just jump to conclusions. It's been mentioned several times that Dermott could be buried in the minors, traded for a pick, or play himself out of the line up.

Potential? Dermott steadily played less games over the last 3 seasons. If there are upgrades or a rookie outplays him... well... this is getting old. Every time we are about to move on, someone steps in with the same confused look on their face.

If you were not in our division, I would probably cheer for you guys. But It's my responsibility to despise you guys. I spit on your hopes and dreams.

Also, I used to be a Nordiques fan. They were my eastern team once I moved out west and jumped on the Leafs hate wagon. When they were moved to Colorado, I became a closet Avs fan unless we were playing them in the p/o. I'm still there...

- boonerbuck

Tough to cheer the Flames on as many of their fans didn't cheer for Canada's team in 2011...but they sure expect us to cheer for CGY if they make the finals. Many Oilers fans I know cheered for Van in 2011. Nucker is right as usual...Flames can go fuck themselves

Gary's boys will handle CGY if they go deep anyways. As there is no corruption with the refs...

Panthers game is starting, Claude Giroux and Jumbo Joe gonna win the Cup this year with the Panthers. Which makes them guaranteed first ballot HHOF’ers

Fuck every other Canadian team in the ear….all of them. Including your Oilers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Draisaitl has really become one of the best goal scorers in the league the past four years, him Ovechkin and Matthews are far and away the best in the league.

lol pretty much guarantees they won't win it now.

COL or TBAY are my picks.

Be nice to see COL get one damn fine club.

Absolutely you could make an argument that Drai is better than McD in some respects but over 70% of all NHL players when asked said McDavid is by far the best in the league.

OVI probably is the best goal scorer of all time over Gretz. Even at this point you have to give it to him. To score at will like he does in this era of big goalies is unreal. Matthews is great and all but I don't have him in OVI's or Drai's category quite yet.

Lets go OIL!!!!

With that goaltending an D could be a rough ride. They can beat Vegas but COL/CGY would be tough lol.

Absolutely right hand shot too. After Miller is signed will need to move around some cash though to get him.

He can have mine from the last Cal-Oil game, hope your team has multiple setbacks and explodes into oblivion, same with the prima Oilers.

I know you really don’t mean this. Hold onto that seat, you may be able to sell it for a profit. I’ve got you sitting next to Ruby.

Will we have to go into some other blog comments section, or will all the Flames fans come in here to cheer together?
