psh i guess relevancy is a relative term. to me thats exactly what relevant means come playoff time. haha it doesnt mean youre suddenly interchangeable with the blue jackets or something. hey if they match up (and seem like a mathematical certainty to) one of them has to win a round? but right now it seems tough to see either of these teams beating the southern gauntlet to come out of the east though.

although what the (frank). goalie plays like that and in a small sample size series who knows.

We’ll id be afraid of the Rangers if I was fan of a different team.

You just watched 120 minutes over two games, live and in living color, just how good they are.

Healthy respect for, absolutely. Afraid of, not yet. No comment on next year and beyond...

First game between us was in my opinion the most accurate indication of both teams right now...plenty of chances 5vs5 with very little to show for it, and both live and die by their PP and ridiculous goaltending. 1-0 decided by a PP goal.

Game at MSG the other night was our worst of the year. For whatever reason, first half the game we played like it was line rushes at practice...you had guys behind our D non stop, and you finished enough of them to send me to the liquor store after the first period lol. We got owned and it happens to all teams at some point...kinda like your recent Devils game.

Tonight you absolutely outplayed us the majority of the game, but keep in mind it was still just one Matheson(I think) post from going to O.T.

I'd say both teams are so evenly matched that 1 goal games should be the norm if both play a decent game, and a 7 game series would(will) be a complete toss up very possibly decided by who gets the 4th home game.

Hall with a Bertuzzi type sucker punch tonight, TOR defenseman went to the locker room so probably a concussion.

No league whitewashes violent pasts better than the NFL

I saw part of Roger Gooddell's ownership meeting press conference yesterday. Of course, not many questions about their meeting, but a lot of questions about the embarrassing stuff. He could pawn off most of the Deshaun Watson interest on "Let's allow the NFL's investigators to finish their investigation." Then a guy who looked like he was 16 years old asked (although not very artfully) the millions-dollar-question: Does the NFL have any concerns about the salary-structure of the Browns' contract with Deshaun Watson? (The contract has almost no money payable during the first year in order to protect him against a potentially lengthy suspension the league might impose.) Gooddell either didn't know about the particular terms of the deal or he didn't want to answer it: "I don't understand the question."

Also saw EJ Hradek interviewing Bettman at the NHL meeting. I couldn't figure out why he's sporting some long scruff on his face. Then I noticed how much his head shakes when he speaks. I wonder if he's got Parkinson's. I know I'd give up shaving with a razor if I was shaking that much.
