I dont think it’s that guys don’t want him. I think guys are afraid of the cost of getting him. If it’s a bunch of picks and guys like Robertson Jones Nils I could live with it. I don’t think given his salary they’d settle for Nils and Jones as the pieces going the other way. They’d likely want a guy like Kakko Othman etc included.

Agreed. Also drawing the distinction that if Wilson hits Fox cleanly I'd like Reaves to respond cleanly and in the course of the game. If Wilson does what he did to Panarin last year I want Reaves to rip his head off, because what Wilson did was outside the normal course of the game.

Having said that nobody has taken liberties unanswered with our team all year. There have been some hits that have gone unanswered for sure, but again you can't take a dumb penalty because someone caught you clean. Plays like Maroon hitting Shesty have been appropriately answered and while Shesty still gets bumped on occasion it's nowhere near the amount he was getting ran last year

Love Lindgren, but man, if ur guna drop them with Maroon get your shots in. He gave Maroon time to set himself and then Maroon took some cheap shots after the refs tried breaking it up. I appreciate Lindgren stepping up and going outside his weight class, but in a situation like that u have to just start unloading on the guy.

I just watched that hit on Kotkaniemi. I have no problem with it. Unfortunate outcome, but Eller wasn't head hunting or anything. And really, up 6-1 in the dying seconds, why is Carolina set up in the O zone like they're looking to score? Play to the whistle, I guess.

I’d draw a line, if they don’t want to cross it then fine he’ll go elsewhere. But rangers can literally offer them 5 pieces where most teams can offer 3 at the most

Love a good clean hard hit. Most of the time it's a player looking at the puck or admiring their pass. The game is fast, keep your head up.
I too am tired of every hit resulting in a scrum. Start calling the 3rd man penalty or roughing and it will go away.
Now, if their star player should happen to be the recipient of a hard hit on the next shift, so be it. That's hockey. Goalie gets hit, there will be a price to pay. Also hockey.

As I said, I would hope that up by 5 goals with possession and literally a handful of seconds left in the game, we would be classy enough to skate the puck back out to the neutral zone and run out the clock. Why were they passing it around like it was a PP, looking for shooting lanes?? Maybe that set Eller off a little, but he still hit him legally. As a number of us have been saying all afternoon, this bullpoop of going after someone for a clean hit has to go.

Let’s say they take Jones Nils Kravtsov 2022 1st 2023 1st (likely what it would take), I’m on the fence. I think the piece for me that is tough to lose is Kravtsov. But they’re going to want at least one of Cuyelle Othman or Kravtsov.
