These idiots see what they want to see... the Bruins ARE actually the earthly incarnation of the Devil himself.

I could see Canucks fans carrying on a grudge from 2011, and The Leafs... well Bruins have not been good to them over the last decade.

But Rangers fans? Will be so funny if they lose to the Bruins in the first round after winning the Division. Rent-free-in-their-heads.

You damn well better win or how else do the leafs play you in the semi finals?!

True.

Unless... Florida collapses and NYR get top-spot in conference.
Or... if Bruins mail it in and drop to WC2... and... heck... who knows?

Only saw highlights.
What I gather, Clifton needs a rest. Sounds like a few missed opportunities off the iron and Tor capitalized on some sloppy play.

Not at all impressed with the officiating. 4-1 game, you decide not to call the board on Hall but you penalize him instead to make the game 5-1.
Yet you call Pasta in the 1st for a board. Refs are never held accountable. #HotGarbage

League needs to fix it. Fine those bozos $5000 for incompetence!

I get it. Hall deserves a penalty for that. But a Tor PP as a result. good grief!

Yah....I am a Leafs fan, but here goes....

I am surprised at how (apparently) serious the Lybushkin head injury is. The punch did not seem hard ar all, but he was wobbly leaving the ice and they are not sure when he will be back. But come on.....Hall saw he was going to get hit and quickly turns into the boards....no way that was an avoidable hit.

Watch the game in full....chippy all around, but no way was that game towards the Leafs. That Pasta hit was full on right on the numbers. Dumb play on his part that had to be called. Watch the penalty call on Marner....Bruin player tripped and was on his way down before he even got to Marner. Holl has his stick held to the point he gets pulled down, but he still gets a penalty for hooking.

The reffing was not tilted in Boston's direction as much as the Celtics game the night before, but no way was it in Toronto's direction.

And if we have to meet in the playoffs it best be round two so we at least get that first round monkey off our back before we try to slay the Bruin dragon. It goes 7 and no doubt you will have permanent residence in the heads of the Leafs.

Tell me what’s different. Lybushkin not being paralyzed is different. That’s about it

Punches get thrown every game. Guess they all warrant suspensions. You're hilarious.

Do you regularly get yanked off stage at your local comedy club? Enjoying your play dumb/troll humor. It's amusing.

Got any more zingers for us?

We don’t need trolls. Our thread is always busy. Without trolling there’s no interest whatsoever in this thread. I don’t get it because there are a lot of Boston fans in Canada. I’d guess number 3 behind the leafs and Habs.

Yeah I know. But if you come in to talk hockey I doubt very much that anyone gets bent out of shape over it.

I am sure it would be a dandy of a series again! I know the feeling, losing to the Habs multiple times in a row in the playoffs.

Yah, I am not sure I agree with your assessment on the Hall sequence. Hall quickly turns to the boards because he is gonna get hit? lol WHAT? Its a 4-1 game. The ref HAS to make that call. Lybushkin took him out plain and simple from behind. You miss a blatant call when the game is getting out of hand and all hell is gonna break loose. Always does.

The Pasta hit was worse? Geez I really don't know. He was gliding and bumped Reilly off balance basically. It was a soft call, but fine with the call as it was around the goal.

Accurate. Its why I come to other blogs. I need a break from my own troll base

So speaking of the bruins, what is the consensus on Lindholm deal now? Too much in trade? Right amount of money?

I should clarify....the Pasta hit was a more obvious hit from behind, but nowhere near as dangerous. Reilly was facing the board's....clear hit right on the numbers into the boards. Hall does turn quickly towards the board's to try and sneak by the contact and that play. It did wind up with a more dangerous hit, and while I am not surprised they did not call a penalty, I would not have been surprised if they had either.

Time may very well change this, but in the short term, I believe its a good deal for the bruins. However they have more work to do in terms of bringing in meaningful pieces on the back end.

Not even remotely close? It’s the same exact thing. Punched a guy from behind that wasn’t expecting it. If that happened to the rat marchand you guys would be going wild right now along with ur homer announcers.

The Bruins desperately needed a solid defenseman to play the left side. Haven't had any complaints so far. 8 years right of the rip is a gutsy call on a player that hasn't played a game yet but they had a plan and went out and got it done. So far so good.

If it's just hockey talk I don't think there are issues.

but when "guests" just come here to complain about something a Bruin did (or didn't do) then that's a different story. The greater the hyperbole the more extreme the "reaction".

Example... we know Marchand can be a complete tool at times. Why come here to tell us something we already know. Adds no value to the conversation. If those ppl are coming here to be righteous then they are more apt to get a GFY response. Especially from fans of a team that employed Ulf Samuelsson and Sean Avery.

So a question for Boston sports fans.....

The Bruins' Marchand, or the Celtics' Smart.....whose antics do you find more tolerable?

As an outsider, Marchand drives me batty....find him to be an ass who needs a good pounding......but I would love to have him on my team. The guy can play.

Smart......I have zero tolerance for this guy. I can't stand the flopping....drives me crazy.

Just curious how the hometown fans view it.

I think people are torn on Smart. You either like him or you don't.

Both players play hard and that goes a long way with me. Marchands antics, ie licking are cringeworthy. Flopping from anyone is the absolute worst.

There isn't a team in the NHL that wouldn't want Brad Marchand. He brings it every single night. He is invested in the game every night. I obviously would hate him if he played for anyone else. He is that type of player.

Fair enough.

I get the length of the deal might be an issue but glad that he's working out alright.

Nice 8 - 1 win over the devils
