I agree with the timing issue. Seeler, Connaughton and Yandle all should not be playing a regular shift in the NHL. My argument is that Yandle should have never been signed and therefore never gotten the record.

I do believe that teams need to treat players well. I also think players need to realize when they are done. The Flyers have treated Yandle more than fairly. Yandle needs to realize he is done. I think that is a tough realization for sure.

Yandle has been a trainwreck the ENTIRE season. It's actually been embarrassing to see him play at this point, streak or no streak.

For those calling out the Flyers for scratching them have either not been paying attention since October or are simply b!tching to b!tch.

I'm guessing the thinking was that he's one of their better face-off guys now? Yeo just kept rolling that 4th line out there late in the 3rd.

That's the problem. He's coaching to try and win. Now in a normal situation I could understand it. The top line got completely shellacked last night. He's trying to protect a lead. However shot attempts in the 3rd period last night at 5 on 5 were 16-3 Rangers. Scoring chances 9-2. Coach with the future in mind. Yeo is simply a bad coach and he has done nothing to move the team forward.

If “Hayes-y” was such a good friend, why didn’t he have a frank and honest conversation with Yandle that he was embarrassing himself on the ice every night? Or is he just an enabler?

Is that because of cam York?
Did having to play with Braun hold provorov back that much?

Embarrassing is putting it mildly. Painful for fans, waste of ice time stopping development of players, and pandering to the NHL for something to put in their newsfeed. I wonder if CONCAST thought it made it a big bullet point marketing..

I wonder if he was in the training room after every game getting burn ointment for people blowing past him and getting new jocks to replace the ones he lost on the ice.

I honestly don't watch any of the games unless it's on the TV at work. I guess what little I have seen of him he doesn't appear to be struggling on the ice like he was earlier this season.
I had hoped that York may have steadied him a little bit but maybe I am just looking for things that aren't there
Am I mistaken that provorov didn't have many 5 on 5 points this season? Again, I don't follow them this year like I have many other seasons

Who says he hasnt? Thats not a conversation you have publicly. Yandle has handled the situation well and thats likely because he knows he isnt playing at a level expected from an NHL player

The video interview I saw was pretty mild, actually. I think the players feel like they need to stick up for each other in a situation like this. There may be others out there that I don't know about but it is not affecting Hayes' play on the ice.

An observation like that might have more meaning if it came from someone who showed any analytical capabilities. Stick to Don Rickles comments. It's your sweet spot.

I understand that opinion but on the other hand for the longer term rebuilding of the team I think it's more important to let the younger guys play now.

That said, in my opinion, he should've been benched long ago. If management really thought there was some way to salvage the season why did they think he was going to be able to be a helpful part of it? Clearly his play was sub-par.

I’m sorry this is an invalid, over used argument. Cam York is in nightly. Provorov and Sanheim carry the load for this team. Ronnie Attard saw his first two NHL games this weekend. The kids aren’t being held back. Especially when Seeler and Connauton play pretty regularly.
