Agree. I know it's legal, I just don't like it. And I don't think someone should be engaged in a fight for pulling it off.

If during the course of executing a Michigan the puck goes above the crossbar would the goal be allowed?

- Scoob

great question...... I have also wondered if it would be legal to carry the puck on your stick for a shoot out or anytime really? Bill?

As long as you're not holding the puck in your hands, kicking it in, interfering with the goalie, or the shaft of your stick is above the crossbar, its kosher.

Learning on the job. He has never played center at any level -- was always a winger, and mostly LW at that -- so this stretch of games have been something completely new to him. Laughton could be back in the lineup by tomorrow.

Is that Wise though? Flyers arent playing for anything. Shouldnt they err on the side of caution and shut him down.

Hey bill

Just wanted to comment on the site. I’m using mobile and the site keeps refreshing and eventually getting a error. I know your not tech support, but could you mention it to eklund? I love reading your stuff, but it’s very annoying to keep getting redirected all the time to a point where safari craps out and says it can’t load the page anymore.

Thank you.

If he is medically cleared and ready to play, why shut him down?

We have a solid draft history of #2 overall picks, don't we?!
I do trust chuckles more than I do hextall as far as drafting goes though.
I think Pryor was a solid scout though

My hope is that Frost elevates his game to a 2C level. I just don't see Hayes as a long term solution as a 2C to building a legit contending team.
- MJL

You and I both are hoping to see frost put it all together. But if he has chemistry with tippet who would be his wings on that second line?

If it's not illegal that's where I see it next - a player picks it up and lacrosse style takes a shot

I hate that pick too but not as much as I hate NoPa, especially considering who got taken 3rd and 4th right behind him. That set this franchise back so far. Imagine w top pair of makar/provy hesk/provy
Matter of fact if hextall did pick one of those 2 we probably don't make that boneheaded move to get RR and we keep that draft pick.
As usual it's just poor management in Philly

It'll likely happen in a lower league first and then make its way up to the NHL.

lacrosse style at point blank in shoot out would seem to me almost impossible to stop

When a Beagle is out of line it usually gets put in a crate, or smacked across the snoot with a newspaper.

I experienced the same. Downloaded AdBlock Pro for my iPad. Never had a problem since.

Hard to think there are good things happening but...

The team looks better with some youth playing, Tippett definitely has the tools to succeed in NHL, Frost is moving forward, they are getting healthier down on the farm and through out the system. The farm still has a lot of picks who are developing, who knows maybe there will be a surprise in there. Sanheim has seemed to find his gear, Laughton showed promise prior to getting hurt, he maybe be better than just a 3rd-4th player. York looks the part. It seems that team speed has picked with the callups...

who knows, get lucky, pick top 3, hit a homerun and lets see what happens.

Then again, maybe they all get hurt and no one steps forward[/img]

It's nice to see that some of the young guys being inserted into the lineup actually have speed! Who will be the next captain? It seems Hayes is vying for the position as he has kind of stepped up since Giroux left. I was hoping for Atkinson, but he has been invisible since Giroux left.

It's not easy to settle the puck and get it to sit on the blade in game situation time/space, tho. That's why you only really see people trying it behind the net.

My guess is Coots. He’s here long term and the stink of this season doesn’t really apply to him.

I would be amazed if it wasn't Couturier.
