Absolutely mind-boggling. Especially considering the excuses they used for scratching Yandle (and I don't care that they did that). Thompson's 37 and has no future with this team and Hodgson could be in the mix for a bottom six role next year.

Unless of course they plan on re-signing Thompson, which nothing would surprise me at this point.

Guess he worked his tail off to get back in the lineup. I was fine w playing him a game, but agree why burn a call up if you are not going to play the other guy who actually looks like he might be able to bring something on the 4th line and fill on the 3rd line at times next yr. otherwise why did you sign him.

Btw Yandle is terrible and stole money this year. He should give it back.

They got 2 young 1st round drafted players in Kreb and Tuch a 1st round pick in 2022 and a 2nd round pick in 2023 for Eichel and they might not even make the playoffs. In fact they have several guys stuck on the LTIR because of Eichel.

Barber was bombed the last time I saw him. Draft night last year. Actually everybody from the front office was getting tanked.

Don’t get it. Hogdson was one of only 4 call-up slots. Why not let him play? I respect the decision to let a veteran like NT play out the season given his lengthy career and his hard work to get back. But I agree with this entire group that play the potential future to see what they have.

My guess is because we are playing a lot of the kids and Yeo knows without McEwen (and Laughts coming off a concussion) there isnt anyone out there to protect them so Thompson is the only viable pugilist. Its caveman mentality but it seems that is how this team has been operating for some time.

Yeah, way to sit Yandle when it no longer matters. Cut the steak for no reason just to put him back in two games later. This whole thing is a circus.
