he does it all, sure he makes mistakes and fans focus on that rather than the good things he does. |

I think you spelled spent 1.5 mil wrong.
I see no difference in the D since the trade . 4 W 4 L. We were a 500 team before and after the trade.
Excellent upgrade we went from 17 th to 17 th

Ok. One last time. If you take a rostered player that's worth 3 mil and replace him with a player that's worth 1.5 mil. That's actually saving. Mathematically, you'd have to spend 4.5 mil on the replacement player to be spending 1.5 mil. At this point, I'm hoping your Wife handles the finances. |

I think he looked very good in his three games here but we just signed a career back up goalie that has played 6 NHL games to a two year one way contract.
I sort of remember another GM making these types of signings. Can't remember his name .

One thing I wonder about Martin is how he plays when he's sitting on the bench for 10 games at a time. Often is the case when you bring in a goalie who has been a starter in the AHL getting regular playing time to a spectator most of the season, the results are night and day. Good in call ups, crap in the back up role in the NHL.
It will be interesting. Hopefully they don't have to shop for a back up mid season. |

You are once again ignoring that Hamonic was off the books and three mil was new found cap space . Not only that but the hockey Gods gave us a third round draft pick. Minutes later it all went down the sh1tter because Alvi took on a player that could not crack the roster of his old team.
He was on the block for a long time . No one took him. Even teams looking for playoff depth didn't take him.
Just because he cracked the bottom part of a roster on a team that most of the fans complain about the D does not make him a good acquisition. He has not moved the needle one bit . We are still the same team as we were before.
I hope your wife does the shopping otherwise your cupboards would be full of Cheez Whiz and Pizza Pops.

We did like what we seen in three games. Ruebey also liked what he seen in Juulsen in three games . It is a very very small window to make a two year signing on. It is a ballsy move and I am not complaining about it but I am pointing out that I hope they have a plan B in place just in case.
His play in Abby has been okay . He has had some stinkers also . It falls in line with the Dermott acquisition . Cheap moves that won't affect the standings .

I haven't really said if I like the new managers or not yet. I know everyone assumes that I don't like them when in fact they have done nothing yet. I am just laughing at everyone's excitement for a new group that have done SFA so far.
They picked up a waiver wire old man, traded for a bottom pairing Dman and signed a goalie that has 6 NHL games under his belt.
They have done nothing to get excited about or angry about but I am sitting back laughing at all the folks that think it is refreshing when in fact is is pretty much the same ol same ol.
I don't even expect a lot to happen in the summer. One trade , one buyout , one signing of a UFA.

It’s Vantel Math. If you divorce your 50 year old wife and marry a 35 year old, your wife got younger but you’re still 60! |
