Also even plus/minus while playing higher up the lineup/more minutes lately than he should be. - NewYorkNuck
He is just a jack of all trades but literally good at nothing. |

Hansen just trying to stay relevant. No one has even mentioned his name since he was traded. |

It's really not hard to miss threads lately. It's somehow dog days of summer when hockey is still going on and playoffs haven't even started.
Hot take central in here. It's not hard to read one page and just close the page. |

Dermott's biggest contribution so far is that he has turned Tyler Myers from a defensive pariah into a Canucks legend in two games.

Depending on how the game is going between pairs. I don't mind switching them up, Schenn and Dermott have different attributes.
Every team is forced to play someone up the line up when injures hit. Want guys that are able to step up. Dermott has done alright but shouldn't be expected to take a top 4 role for the entire season. |

Are some still score board watching? Is there still hope?
Dallas has less regulation wins than the Canucks do but have gained the extra point 14 times vs 6 for the Canucks. |

Anyways, thought I would post some players I would like to see Canucks draft. Most of these kids will probably go late in the 1st or in the 2nd round, which means the Canucks either acquire another 1st and get at least 1 2nd round pick, or they trade down(Nighthawk special)
When they trade Boeser/Garland, I would think that could be attainable.😁
Defense
Owen Pickering
Lian Bischell
Mats Lindgren
Maveric Lamoureaux
Tristan Luneau
Kevin Korchinsky
Artyom Duda
Isaiah George
Forwards
Nathan Gaucher
Luca Del Bel Belluz
Owen Beck
Filip Bystedt
Danny Zhilkin
Reiger Lorenz
Not in any specific order and Pickering is the only one I think that might be worth taking where the Canucks end up.

If either Boeser or Garland are gone depending on the return I like Gauthier or Yurov in our range. |

Dermott drafted in the 2nd, flipped for a 3rd after no progress = asset management 🧮 |

If only Benning hadn’t traded that 9oa, Canucks would have a great prospect and some more capspace. Probably wouldn’t have to worry about losing that 1.5 mil for depth D.
He’s got his fingers all over this roster and it will take a while to change that. |

I think he has the potential of Adam Pelech. Where do you take Adam Pelech though. Good player but nothing overly special.
Even in a weak draft like the 2012 was, I don't think I would take Pelech in the top 20 in a re-draft either. In what looks like a better draft this year, I'm not sure I would go higher than 25th for Pickering.

So cute when you and Vantel start holding hands again. I guess you just needed him to get back to complaining to be on the same page. |

Not a fan of either of them, actually not a fan of any that are rated in the mid 1st, which is why I posted the players that I did. |

So far I've noticed he's the quickest guy we have to transition. Has a great stick and is good at defending lanes. Better than average skater. Quicker than I thought.
I wouldn't say he's literally good at nothing. He's got some decent skills. |

Sillinger would have been a real nice pick at 9 OA.
Oh well, not much can be done about it now. |
