Got this from another site, that was talking about Boeser;

Section 12.3 of the CBA states:

“If a Player who is otherwise eligible to receive a Qualifying Offer and become a Group 2 Restricted Free Agent had a Paragraph 1 NHL Salary plus Signing, Roster and Reporting Bonuses in excess of $1,750,000 in the aggregate in the final League Year of his most recent SPC, a Club may elect to file for salary arbitration to determine the Player’s Paragraph 1 Salary for the upcoming League Year in lieu of making a Qualifying Offer to such Player.”

Just looked it up & Boeser had no bonuses only salary for 2021/22.

His legacy will be around for a long time, after the buyouts of Richardinson and Poolman.
That will be 6 years of dead contract space.

Thanks Jim.

Recap from the most knowledgeable people not even remotely associated with hockey in any way shape or form.

Negatives
OEL - anchor contract, overrated.
Hughes - terrible at defence, needs to be traded.
Myers - chaos, not worth his salary.
Poolman - isn't even NHL calibre.
Hunt - AHL player, #9 D overall.
Dermott - could have been had for sweet (frank) all, rainbow tape on stick, wasted 3rd.
Keeper - AHL, diverse signing, a few here don't like diversity.
Miller - wants 8-9 mil a season, to pricey trade for 1st & 3rd.
Pettersson - can't stay on his feet, pouts too much, trade him.
Boeser - slow, not worth qualifying, let him walk.
Horvat - beta, not Captain material, never challenged Petey for injuring BB.
Garland - bust, not producing how posters expect, try to get a 3rd for him.
Richardson - wasted waiver pick up, could of had so and so instead.
Dickinson - another wasted choice by Benning.
Highmore - see Dickinson above.
Chiasson - should never have been chosen at training camp.

Positives
Demko - stellar #1, need to keep him, at least until the fans run him out also.
Schenn - good value for contract.
Pearson - tough on the boards, another good contract.

Only Boeser for me other than letting him walk. Resigns imo on what I think is a fair contract is or move for assets.

I think OEL will be better next year, coming to a new team with different systems takes some time.

Agree, it’s not like he’s a professional athlete that played multiple systems since he was 15 or so. Shaw’s system is complex.

agreed, not every player can learn or improve on past poor performances and be a Gudbranson
