Cougars and royals.

Nice. Clash of the Titans! Should be a good one. Pretty much identical records. A couple of blowout games between them last month. That usually makes for a nice feisty game in Junior.

Yeah, Green was tough to like. Will be interesting to see if he actually impressed any other team enough to get another job as a HC. I can’t see a team with legit playoff hopes hiring him but who knows.

When his contract expires, he will get a AHL job I think. Maybe after a contract down in the A he gets another shot in the big league.

I'm still laughing about the big consensus in the media about teams tripping over each other to hire him immediately if he was let go.

No. I think he's gonna have to Coach his way back up if he wants to run an NHL bench. The turnaround here was just too drastic. Every Boudreau win is like another nail in the coffin.

I like the honesty in his interviews. Much better than listening to how tough it is to win in this league after every loss. Plus Green was a condescending prick.

I like Bruce's interviews, too. Candid & honest.

Ruby how come you haven't mentioned this guy yet.

He's prototypical Ruby pick. Defensemen born in BC.

Ranked 55th by central scouting.

Highlights from Red Deer vs Edmonton today.

https://whl.ca/video/high...s-rebels-4-at-oil-kings-6

Bains ended up with goal and two assists. There was a lot of flouting around in the defensive zone

Guenther with a 4 point night for Edmonton though. Would have really helped the prospect pool out.

He'd have to fall to the coveted 3rd round. You know, the round where the picks turn to gold.

Shame the Canucks never get a GM that likes draft picks.

If we had two thirds we could have moved up to second to get him

I agree. Without bothering to research, I feel like most rookie coaches who scrub out have to go back to assistant coaching or the minors to earn their cred back. Obviously something didn't pan out like they hoped and they need to reflect and improve to succeed elsewhere (like most of us in whatever field, really).

Back to the WHL for him. Suits his skill level of coaching anyways

It's way too early to judge but we have a net gain of 1 pick so far under Allvin.
