So today, as one of the staunch defenders of the pick then, I feel a little peeved. Also doesn't help the fact that both of our goalie prospects went back.

There's no to be fair about losing (potentially) Johnson for nothing (or a potential 3rd rounder). Max rookie deals are squabbling over what, like 100K? And Buffalo is willing to potentially let him walk for that? If that's the case, this organization deserves everything terrible to happen to them. Imagine letting a first round pick leave because you won't pay a max rookie deal.
