Power didn't get the max. That's gotta make you wonder what's going on there. - Lunaion
Obviously Power is a different breed. |

I believe he took it offensively But we know How Negotiation's work high - low and he just stopped it.
It's honestly the strangest situation ever I hope it gets leaked From media so I can talk about it - gerbe75pts
Now I’m really interested. |

Why on God's green earth would you low ball a prospect whose celery ceiling is still under $4m?

Kim brought Oatmeal and Raisin cookies to negotiatons instead of Peanut Butter. Portillo got mad because those are Levi's favorite cookies and he felt betrayed |

Any small guys in the top 5?
5 11' fox is a good point
6'1 mcavoy is big enough - Boss34
Ryan Ellis from Nashville was a top defenseman for years and he's only 5'10 on a thick rug. |

He wanted bonus money and they gave him that with games played So technically he is getting Max offer just money on the side - gerbe75pts
High first round picks usually get max everything. He isn't getting that, which is very unusual. Dahlin did, Eichel did.

Top 5 ? Probably not.
Spurgeon is top 10 though, Q.Hughes is a solid player.
Torey Krug could play on my team any day.
Tony DeAngelo is a POS but an undeniable talent.
Samuel Girard took a step back this year but has been an effective NHL’er. Matt Grezlyck is an effective bottom pair d-man.
We’ll see what Jamie Drysdale and Olen Zellweger (having the best season by a d-man in the WHL in years) become at the NHL level |

A late 1st wouldn't expect any type B bonuses, so we're really talking 850k and what the specific objectives are.
Crazy to imagine that costing them players. Sad really.

Where are you getting the bonus breakdown as I'm not seeing it on CapFriendly.
Looks like Beniers signed the same deal with Seattle as Power did with Buffalo. |

CapFriendly performance bonuses. Odd that they are the same. Maybe they don't have the info on them yet? or did Power impact Beniers? |

Thanks for the insight Gerbe… it’ll be a damn shame if we lose both Johnson and Portillo. And for Portillo to walk with 2 wide open nets (AHL and NHL) staring him in the face is kinda crazy!
Can he change his mind? Serious question, is there a window for him to cool down or for the organization to make a final pitch? Or is it done done? |

Peanut butter? You heathen! Chocolate chip or gtfo. I’d walk too if you brought oatmeal raisin to the table…. |

He could change his mind, as long as the Sabre's offer is still on the table.

Good post pegs
You can be effective at 510'
I'm thinking bryson is 5 8' . I like his game, his speed and agility make up for the size. More so offensively IMO

Well, the organization needs to figure their poop out and get the kid signed. Fix whoever’s f-up it is, bake his ass some cookies and get him locked down… |

What % do you believe this to be factual?
Squabbling over less than 1,000,000 with a 1st round prospect? |

I'd say TBD for me as I'd like to wait to see what they do this offseason.
If they add one or more Boychuck's to reach the cap floor, it'll be a giveaway on the cheap mandate. |
