More than if Mcdavid wasn't dishing the puck in Edmonton. - DirtyDan
It's close but I don't see Toronto or Edmonton falling off the cliff you say they do without McDerp or Fatthews. Nor Florida without Huderdeau. However, my rationale is based of the fact that Barkov was injured for 1/4 of the season and Florida didn't skip a beat, and that's because Huberdeau.
I'd say if Marner or Draisaitl were injured it would impact their teams more than McDerp and Fatthews.

Is your brain alright?
You proved my point.... Florida can lose one of their best players and be completely fine.
Not a single player on that team deserves MVP honors just because of how stacked it is.

Would not be a great idea to block one of JJ or Quinn. - DirtyDan
Why would he block one of them? Someone lower on the performance totem pole would be replaced instead.
He might not repeat the production of the year, but I’ll bet he repeats the work and effort he has put in this year. He grabbed the ball and ran with the chance Q gave him last year, now this year he has taken it to another level. There are no passengers on the Panthers this year, as there’s someone similarly as good as you sitting in the press box waiting for a shot in the lineup.
Sabres have some talented players, they will only become stacked by adding one piece at a time. KA should be adding all the good players that he can. If Marchment (or any new addition) blocks JJ or Quinn, then that probably would only mean that they just aren’t yet ready to beat him out of a spot.

Dodgers pull Kershaw six outs away from a perfect game. We aren't allowed to have any fun anymore. Can't celebrate too much, can't do anything!
Pitch count be damned but how do you pull a pitcher 6 outs away from a perfect game???
