I, along with others, had them as a tankesque 20-win team. 30 wins is 50% above my September thought on the team. When healthy, this team has competed with anyone they've played. They, along with LV, have lost the most man games to injury in the league. They have also had among the very worst goaltending in the league. Clearly they have a lot of warts, but you have to be blind to not consider the season as a whole as a success.

In no order:

The revitalization of the fanbase. It's real. Im dropping by the window tonight and buying one. I think it's another special night in the arena tonight, and WARM WEATHER HOME GAME!

1st line goodness. Nobody had us coming out of the year with a 1st line who can play anybody. Imagine Tuch, who is +1 in 43 games, on the line all year.

Dahlin arrives. 20 games into the season we were all shaking our heads and wondering. Now, we'd all lock him for 10 years.

2 defensive pairs. Can we really have 2 locked D pairs all this young?

Secondary scoring. Okposo, Vinnie, Vic, Krebs and Mitts of late have all produced enough to keep teams honest, and the 1st line produces regardless.

Responsible young forwards. Cozens and Asplund both have the look young defensive forwards. Cozens has the added bonus of being part psycho. Even Mitts in his recent bout of good play has looked responsible.

Solid coaching. Olofsson playing injured aside, I have no major complaint here. They unleashed Tage and Dahlin, developed Samuelsson, Cozens, Krebs, Asplund and Mitts.

If Adams doesn't come away with a G this offseason it's because he doesn't want to. There's some RFA'S that should be looked at to.

Kane’s estranged wife, Anna, put on her Instagram story a screen capture showing she donated $200 to the cause.

If you don't like the conversation that goes on here, you usually have two practical options. Either don't post/log on, or change the subject to something more interesting. The free-flowing build of the comments section allows for that.

A big issue with that core is that they had no leadership once St Drury and Danny left. And they desperately needed it. These guys today are certainly different characters than those guys. Guess we'll see. I think the structural integrity of this organization on the ice is stronger than it was at the start of 2008.

I think Husso will be different, but I can get this. From Allen to Binnington to Hutton, they've had some pretty trash goalies do decently because of their system. You have a favorite goalie target for the offseason?

He does play like a fan favorite. Still need him to develop (not calling him out, he's only 21), just if this is what he is, he'll be a 3.5/4M C for the 3rd line and that's it. I would like him to become ROR lite, or possibly even better. I think he can do it too.

Time will tell for sure, but agreed on the leadership point. Homie alluded to it too, but maturity level is going to be a difference here. I don't expect to hear Dahlin passes out drunk in the middle of Chippewa as an example...

Here's the thing. If St. Louis lets Husso go, it's a major red flag. Because Binny (frank)ing sucks. They will do everything in their power to trade him if they need the cap space.

Of course, Husso could always say thanks but no thanks. But for the Blues to willingly move on? I'd bet my house they don't.

Seems to me, that's exactly what contenders have on their team. Really, really good third lines.
