This did not age well, Tarasenko made Power his prison beotch on that Forsberg goal. - BeadyEyedDouche
It aged very well. Sure, that kid got beaten by one of the best players in the league. We got a glimpse of the game-controlling force the kid is going to be. |

He was invisible tonight and a lot of the games he played for us. He had 2 great years for the blues. All of these things can be true. - Slump Buster
And harboring some weird grudge against a hockey player who was traded YEARS ago is quite petulant- pathetic even
Sabres are moving in the right direction,
and all some can do is while about the past
ROR is gone
Risto is gone
Sam is gone
And even Jack is gone
Ppl need to get the fvck over it

Observations:
Nice crowd. I would say about 11 - 12k. Too many friends there last night. It was hard to pay attention to the game at times.
I'm going to rewatch, but I thought, on first blush, we out chanced them. I know we out shot them.
I saw Dahlin and Power as a pair for the first time in the 2nd period. I like Dahlin and Samuelsson better and Power Joker better, but injuries happen.
CA can't be back next year unless his name is coach.
That's all I got. I was busy being a social butterfly. Not my normal bag. I regret it already. |

As always thanks for the info. I like the plan but I am skeptical that he changes his mind. Based on what Gerbe said there seemed to be some....weirdness?.... from the Portillo camp. - Slump Buster
When did gerbe say that? I missed it |

Apparently, the Sabres were very miffed at the Portillo camp.

Sabres just could not finish last night, had some glorious chances. Game should have been closer than the final score say's. |

Im rewatching now. We owned the first 5 minutes until a Tarasenko shift we he powered by Dahlin necessitating a hook by 26.
Good PK. Power damn near scored after he set up Vinnie. |

Pretty amazing shift by the Mitts line after the PK. Skinner dumps the puck in and his line changes at 11:57. The Mitts line comes on and cycles the puck in the offensive zone - getting 3 grade A scoring chances- until the 11:00 mark.
That line gets better by the game.
Edit: Skinner stayed on the whole time. No Asplund. Butcher and Fitz were the blueliners. |

All Sbroads said was that he looked invisible last night, in a game where the Sabres were playing the Blues ?
Feels justified to me. |

Gerbe mentioned something that made Portillo feel slighted. Said he wish it would leak because he’d love to talk about it.
But I think I agree… He Gone |

Idc if he got burned by Tarasenko, Owen Power is going to be an absolute weapon. His offensive talents are boundless.
He and Dahlin + Thompson + Tuch is scary on the ice at the same time
Get Quinn here |

Beautiful setup from Tage to Skinner off a Tage fake drop pass follewed by a right wall rush. Biddington robs Skinner him on a clean look.
Ice still tilted the Sabres way at 8:55 |

Offensive zone faceoff loss by Mitts is followed up by terrific pressure from both Asplund and Vic on the left and right sides respectively. This forces both St. Louis D (55 and 47) to throw the puck around the boards without a clue who was going to get it. Joker gets it and immediately shoots. Asplund cirles towards the front and puts a Vanekesque deflection out there.
This line is getting good.
7:00 left in the 1st, almost all Sabres. |

Gotta give it some time, too small a sample size.
The Power-Joker pairing got victimized by Tarasenko on his first two goals last night. |

Is there room for at least one forward addition to the team if it's via UFA and not via trade?
Doesn't look like there is based on last night's lineup and the 2 obvious additions that will happen next season.
Skinner-Thompson-Tuch
Asplund-Mittelstadt-Olofsson
Peterka-Cozens-Quinn
