You should talk to your doctor, he'll be straight with you. If he has a line to Mario, he may be able to work something out for you.
God Bless. - Thunderbolt
Thanks for the blessing. I really appreciate it. |

Agreed, but he's going nowhere. He's staying for life barring something catastrophic. - jmatchett383
Yeah totally. I'm not arguing that there's any shot Sid gets traded ever. I'm just pointing out that there's a huge inconsistency with the let Geno and Letang walk and start the rebuild because we can't live in the past crowd, because if they truly believe that they should also be in favor of getting rid of Crosby. Barring a complete anomaly of probability where we draft a 1D and a 2C with lower picks who end up being 18 year old phenoms that immediately break into the league, there's no world where we rebuild and are good again before Sid is either bad or straight up retired. Only practical function he serves post-Geno/Letang is giving us worse ping pong balls. |

But here's the thing; as the face of the team (and league) who's delivered on everything that was promised and more, he's earned the right to stay with them. The team is going to suck for a few years whether he stays or not. You appreciate him while you still can, give him the respect he deserves for saving the franchise (again), and realize that the eventuality of winning 3 Cups with a common core has a fallout that will happen eventually no matter what.
Edit: As good as Malkin and Captain Head Snap Letang are, they aren't in the same class as Crosby. I could see them being moved, but that should be more or less at their discretion, barring a stupid silly trade. |

Agreed to an extent here, but they're only in the next tier down. Sid has immunity no matter what, but Malkin and Letang are in the category where you only let them go if it completely skips a rebuild and you're able to bring in fresh super stars to open up a new Cup window for Old Man Crosby. I don't really see a scenario where we can swing that. |

I keep Crosby, but the other two really have no ties to the burgh. Malkins wife and child live in fl, letang loves Montreal, they are really not going to give a hometown discount...i dont follow the jersey, i follow the team! Unless they give team friendly deals, move on. Also, hexy and burke aren't sentimental or where jerseys like the fans do, they will do what is best for team, which is what you want from a gm! - PENS1989
lol what a boneheaded comment to make.

So I have a dilemma. I have stage 4 colon cancer and because of that my Dr pulled some strings and a miracle. I just got off the phone with Mario Lemieux (no poop) and he offered me a chance to sit in the owner’s box and after the game to go down and meet the players. So I live in Utah and this is definitely a dream come true. However with only like 4 games left in the season I’m not sure if I am there health wise to make it to one of those four. Two fall on chemo week and it’s hard to get out of bed on those days. So do you think the offer stands next season or do I risk some crazy poop for one of the next 4 games? - Chuck-Norris
Oh man, I'm really sorry to hear that. The chemo is currently doing its thing to my mom and after the steroids that are to be taken around treatment wear off she goes into what she said they call the chemo lull...about a week or so of just feeling very, very horrible.
I have to tell you though she was only given 8 to 12 months 4 years ago. We really thought her last hospitalization, about year and a half ago, she wasn't coming back out. She did however but the docs would only put her on maintenance chemo since, that is it is just supposed to maintain your current condition and level/size of cancer in the body, never really improve it...I watched a documentary called Fantastic Fungi around that time and its full of very interesting things about mushrooms and fungi but what really caught my ear and eye was that the world renowned fungi expert in it, his mom had stage 4 cancer, was considered terminal, and he knew of certain types of mushrooms that actually enhance the chemo receptors in your body. His mom started taking a lot of them and she totally beat it out, she's cancer free. My mother is taking 3 types of mushrooms and even on maintenance chemo it shows it shrinks/improves a tiny bit every CAT scan she has since taking them. Figured its worth mentioning. Her docs had no time for it, so she doesn't even mention it. Docs don't want to discuss anything that's not in their field of study or things that aren't FDA/Health Canada approved for their field of study or pushed by pharmaceutical giants...I'm guessing liability concerns are at the top of the list of why they don't and wont.
You talked to Mario on the phone...thats unreal though haha. He was my idol growing up. I received his biography for Christmas when I was 12 and read it around 10 times.

The main thing I noticed in this article is that Mario lives in a place called Wayne’s manner? I’d have to get that changed. Unless Gretzky lives in Mario’s manor. |

Sounds like DeSmith gets that start tomorrow. At this point, I'd let him split the remaining games and have Jarry rest a bit. |

Little change, also Sullivan said DeSmith's recent play allows them to rest Jarry so I hope he does split the starts. |

Same. I'd even go so far as to have DeSmith play five or six. Give Jarry the last few starts of the season to stay sharp.

Ok boner, so malkin is interviewed for an article and says how great Pittsburgh is and it gave him everything? As soon the season is over he heads to Florida to be with his family and then to Russia for a few weeks..
You are pretty gullible to think malkin is going to.make the burgh his home after he retires. He cant even get his family to move here.

Why would he stay in the 'burgh? That city is a poop hole lol I'm glad I moved out of Pittsburgh back in 2010. Who gives a (frank) where he goes when the season is over?
If I had the money, you don't think I'd have a house in the mountains? Somewhere other than FL?
You are pretty (frank)ing dense. |
