Congratulations on your wealth! Did you make it in cyrpto, investing in etfs, ipos, or real estate?

Pittsburgh diners are not good. Just greasy lol. I forgot you were in town for a game.
- burgh4life87

I love a good greasy spoon lol, but yeah, it was horrible. Mind you, I live in the land of diners, but I thought we were in for a good one. The line was out the door.

hahaha harsh conditions for someone climatized to Florida...just like the times I've been to Florida in the summer were unbearably humid and hot...disgustingly hot. Thats why I like Florida in the Fall.
- MattStrat

Oh for sure, my family comes to visit in July and my bro's wife is miserable (but she's also preggo every time she visits us) and it's likely because they aren't acclimated to it haha, took me maybe 2 years to get used to the heat, and forget about the cold.

That's crazy, Deluca's has really solid reviews, and last time I was there (albeit 6-7 years ago), I thought it was delicious.

Yeah I dunno, to me it's probably 95% the weather. I'm over winter unless I'm traveling to it on purpose to snowboard and I sure as hell am not snowboarding on the east coast. That poop is trash once you've been out west lol.

That's fair. I despise the heat. anything over 80 is hell to me.

Oh man, I'm really sorry to hear that. The chemo is currently doing its thing to my mom and after the steroids that are to be taken around treatment wear off she goes into what she said they call the chemo lull...about a week or so of just feeling very, very horrible.

I have to tell you though she was only given 8 to 12 months 4 years ago. We really thought her last hospitalization, about year and a half ago, she wasn't coming back out. She did however but the docs would only put her on maintenance chemo since, that is it is just supposed to maintain your current condition and level/size of cancer in the body, never really improve it...I watched a documentary called Fantastic Fungi around that time and its full of very interesting things about mushrooms and fungi but what really caught my ear and eye was that the world renowned fungi expert in it, his mom had stage 4 cancer, was considered terminal, and he knew of certain types of mushrooms that actually enhance the chemo receptors in your body. His mom started taking a lot of them and she totally beat it out, she's cancer free. My mother is taking 3 types of mushrooms and even on maintenance chemo it shows it shrinks/improves a tiny bit every CAT scan she has since taking them. Figured its worth mentioning. Her docs had no time for it, so she doesn't even mention it. Docs don't want to discuss anything that's not in their field of study or things that aren't FDA/Health Canada approved for their field of study or pushed by pharmaceutical giants...I'm guessing liability concerns are at the top of the list of why they don't and wont.

You talked to Mario on the phone...thats unreal though haha. He was my idol growing up. I received his biography for Christmas when I was 12 and read it around 10 times.

I watched that show but I have a scary story about those mushrooms. I’m pretty young so I’m doing really good with the chemo. I was originally given 27 months but that was before we started. I’m on my 5th treatment and my tumors dropped 50% so it’s killing it. I hope your moms turns positive pretty soon. Tell her to hang in there. Everyone told me attitude is everything and it’s been pretty true. I feel blessed because I know that I have two years to enjoy and say goodbye. Some people don’t get that and pass in a car wreck or something. Mario was way down to earth I was really surprised. I almost hung up because I thought it was a prank call 🤣

So terrible. Me and my buddy got a bunch of different things to share and basically everything was terrible except for the cinnamon french toast which was fine. I had to gnaw my way through the sausage links lol. They were almost like plastic. The breakfast burrito was one of the worst things I've ever had in my life. I don't even know where to begin with that.

The coffee? Don't get me wrong, as bougie as I can be with food, I'm not looking for any kind of fancy coffee of any kind at this place, but the cheap coffee packets they gave us in the hotel room were better.

We originally tried to go to this one place that was featured on Triple D, but there was a two hour wait, so we went to Delucas.

Oh I get it, we went to an out door BBQ and Bourbon festival in August last year.. we lasted 15 minutes. I didn't even get to eat BBQ it was so brutal outside. There's a good period here where you're scurrying to AC like roaches when the lights come on at night, but I still like that more than scraping snow/ice, heating up my vehicle, and seeing my breath lol

I'll always be a heat guy. I simply like the things you can exclusively do in the heat more than the things you can exclusively do in the cold more.

Exactly. Snowboarding is one of my favorite things in life, but I like it much better now that I can travel to sick mountains instead of going to terrible mountains like Seven Springs or Peak n Peak and Holiday Valley lol

Went to Breck a few months ago, and it was awesome. We got dumped on as soon as we pulled into town. Couldn't have timed it any better.

Where else did you eat other than Primantis and Delucas? I know people from Pittsburgh often poop on Primantis, but man every time I go back.. it just hits the spot for like $8 lol

There are tons of great places. Never been to Talbot's, I rarely go up that way. North Country Brew in Slippery Rock is pretty damn good.

Ah yes, no concern for the guy who has 7 points in his last 15 playoff games vs. all the concern for the guy with 9 points in his last 12.
- j.boyd919

By those numbers it looks like Malkin is slightly more productive when it matters most, with better linemates and more 1pp time and more ice time. So if Carter makes 3.5 give Geno 4.2.

That's an amazing attitude and outlook man. Cheers to that.

I am really intrigued by that scary story haha. Just so we're clear here; regarding that documentary, only about 15 mins of it is about magic mushrooms and that's NOT the kind my mother is taking or the guy's mom in the documentry, who was on chemo, took. They're 100% non-psychoactive. No buzz or trip.

I personally have plenty of experience with magic ones though. I think they're fantastic and more people should be consuming, even if just microdose. They're gaining a lot of steam in the medical world... Astonishing results for mental health.. Depression, anxiety, PTSD and more

Nothing in PA compares to Utah, Wyoming, Colorado. After I went out west, snowboarding in PA did nothing for me. 40 second runs are not fun lol end up in lift lines and on lifts more than you are on your board.

Not to mention the runs are generally icier. Not that I'm an expert border or anything, far from it. I max at out blues on a good day. But I feel like even my inexperienced ass can tell the difference in quality between the Appalachians and the Rockies.

Florida and Colorado would be my go to's as well, maybe Wyoming instead of CO but I like that CO is at least close to a major city. There ain't poop in Jackson (which is where I would love to have a winter home to visit).
- j.boyd919

Yea I was thinking the same thing about Colorado how it would be nice to be somewhat near something. I've never hit the slopes out west but NEED to.
