Carol Schram: Canucks' depth players step up vs. Sharks to keep faint playoff hope alive At this stage of the season, results can matter more than execution. And the Vancouver Canucks got the two points they needed on Saturday night, with their 4-2 win over the San Jose Sharks.

I agree, Marky being here for all those impressionable years for Thatcher is really starting to pay off. Learning from a top 5 goalie can’t help but make his professional career take off.
It’s really too bad they didn’t keep defenceman whisperer Tanev around longer to help Hughes develop properly.

Demko developed well in college then in Utica then under Ian Clarke. Backing up Marky probably had the least impact. You don’t improve in goal watching. Demko supplanted Marky & you hope Marky learns from it come these PO’s lol

K-man is a Flames fan. They don't know anything about developing Goalies. Last decent one they developed was Vernon. Even Kiprusoff was poached from the Sharks.

True on all counts. Canucks invested over 5 years in Markstrom and while he came along nicely Demko literally showed the same levels of performance in 2.5 years time. But we do wish Markstrom the best of luck in CGY lol. We're good with Demko

Both pool PO’s went to tiebreaker. My last G waiver pick up cost me. He got me a split for wins but cost me on GAA & SV%

I was wondering wtf you were doing going with 1 Goalie. Bad strategy. No worries though, it saved you the ass kicking I would've given you in the semis.😄

How many games for Malkin? I'll guess not many, but he should

The Refs on the ice really fucked that call up. Nothing announced yet as far as suspensions. He deserves at least 5.

1 goalie was a good strategy. Picking up the 2nd goalie did me in lol

Double minor shoulda been a match penalty at least 5 for high sticking. Refs suck.

Should've been a slashing major, a cross checking major and the rest of the game, to start with.
