Agreed its not an exciting period. I wish they played more controlled and smart like this yesterday during the 3rd.

you're talking about two completely different classes of opponent. this was an ahl team.

if they played like this last night they may have lost by 5

I’ll eat my words on Chytil a bit. He’s been really good the last month or so. Still not sure he’s in the long term plans, especially if the team expects Copp, Vatrano and Strome back but very happy to have him playing well going into the playoffs. That 3rd line is so important.

I think Chytil has been great the past month or so. I wonder if he’s played well enough for them to let Strome walk and have him as the 2C. He would have to spend 9 hours a day in the off-season on nothing but faceoffs though

I agree. Hard to compare from sides though. But what I saw this period was more puck responsibility and patience for opportunities versus forcing the play like yesterday in the 3rd. Yes Carolina pressures like no other, but you still need to be responsible with the puck, and they definitely weren't yesterday.

I think the biggest difference in Chytils game is his compete level. He seems to be willing to battle for loose pucks more and use his body a little more. Schneider Miller Chytil have all been really good these past few months.

This is exactly what I think, every game a regular forward will rest before end of season.

No cable for me, I just stream everything. Pay for Netflix Hulu HBO and that’s it. No time for regular tv between work and the house. When the games are on MSG I just mirror them onto the TV.
