I could see a better young player and a decent pick for him, he is under control and could potentially sign for many years before or after being shipped out. - neem55
Is he under control? He has a 7.5 QO and is eligible to become a UFA the following year. That is not a lot of control for a team.

I think you can do that and end up with better value, is all im saying. Armia and a 2nd is a joke. - neem55
It’s only a proposed trade by another poster. As above what would think Boeser gets? |

As a closet Canuck fan and not a full fledged Canuck fan as reported by the by the "Who Is Allowed To Be A True Canuck Fan" committee on here what do you think a return on Boeser would be ? I can't see the other GM willing to give up too much. - VANTEL
I could see the Islanders being interested in him, they might trade for his rights. Realistically I would think a 1st for him. They may be able to get him signed for 6x6 which is a fair contract for both. Playing with Barzel, being American (yes I checked) could sway him to sign for less. |

If i were shopping him, it would be under the assumption that a team is going to negotiate a contract woth him. Trading for a player and taking them to arbitration after seems pretty unlikely. |

Barzal is from Coquitlam BC unless you mean Boeser being from Minny USA .
I don't see NYI giving up a first . They already have Whalstrom . I don't see a team giving up A prospects. You said a first round pick, Mtls second round pick will be 33 or 34 th which is almost like a first and a very good third line player.

I think y’all are way undervaluing Boeser, he’s a consistent 20 goal scorer, despite his lack of foot speed he makes smart plays with the puck. |

So if he was going to take a team friendly contract why would the Canucks not keep him?
I really doubt there are very good offers on the table or he would have been shipped out already. I don't think it is as black and white as Canuck Fans think. I have seen a lot of proposals on another site and the other team fans are not too excited to take on Boeser.
90 % of Canuck fans want to get rid of him

I know he’s Canadian, his dads from Osoyoos where I grew up, few years younger than me but he was an outstanding junior player in Penticton.
If Islanders can get permission to talk to BB and can get him signed to a contract they’d both be happy with, I can see the Canucks getting a 1st. They may have Whalstrom already but you can never have enough goal scorers, I don’t see that as a reason not to be interested.
You guys crap all over Brock but imo he still has good value. I don’t see Montreal interested, they seem more in the rebuild phase than retool. |

I know I don't crap all over him . if he signs for the right cap hit welcome home. He is a good two way player that will score you 20 a year.

It's like Motte being worth a 2nd from some in here. When will some learn?
Buchnevich, A mid 2nd and 3rd liner.
Andrew Coop was a 2nd, 2nd, B prospects. Later 2nds.
Rakell 2nd, goalie prospects, some cheap players.
Thats free agents or RFAs cost. I don't see any firsts there. |

Flames gave up a 1st for an older 20-25 goal scorer Toffoli, Boeser should get that at least. He’s younger but going to want more $ than TT |

I crap on Brock mainly due to he is 1 dimensional. If he signs a fair team friendly then I’m ok. If not then get back asset(s) &/or cap space. |

The difference between the Flames first and the Habs second is 7 spots. The rest of the players Flames offered were B prospects like Rathbone and a third.
I am not saying Habs are interested either but it was a proposal that I liked.

I don’t remember who the 1 poster was that thought Motte would get a 2nd but it was unrealistic.
The other 3 are fair comparisons, aren’t Rakell and Copp both UFA’s at the end of the season? That affects their value. Can’t believe the Rangers got rid of of Buchnevich, that was a steal for St Louis. |
