Agree would be nice to see Miller back on a team friendly deal he knows the club is close and under Boudreau they would be fine. Speaking of opportunities heard from a buddy out east Hamonic is really liking Ottawa and being treated very well there. Must be nice to play for an organization where you aren't ostracized for your personal and private medical choices. Good for him. - LordHumungous
It really helps that you have a mongoloid with some mental capacity issues for your avatar. We just need Softwood to change his to Sloth from the Goonies. Just makes it so we know what were dealing with. Good post, you really did good. |

If there was a lot to do them some of it would have been done at the deadline.
They are selling out crowds game after game. Canucks are the most popular thing in all of Vancouver . Team is making tons of money . They are playing 600 hockey. I don't think they view it as bad as people on social media and hockey sites think.
I think they will sign JTM on a 5x8 . Bo on a 6 x 7.5 and even Brock could get a 4 x 6.
Until they are gone they are not. As a season ticket holder I would be pissed to be on a playoff run and have JTM traded for a 1 & 3 and keeping Jason D1ckonson . You find a way to fit them in your cap . - VANTEL
As a season ticket holder, I'd be pissed if they kept everyone and stayed what they are... a bubble hockey team with no real shot at ever winning the Cup. This 600 hockey is nothing more than the team overachieving. Miller has 2 more years where he'll be this good and then he'll be a OEL type drag on the cap. Bo is a decent 2C, but he's part of the problem with this team. Brock just isn't fast enough or good enough to be the superstar winger needed to be the trigger man for the PP1 and top 6.
The D? They still run around in their own zone, give up the puck way to much, and rarely punish forwards for trying to drive the net. Hughes and Demko are the only players on this team that I see as worth being considered untouchable. |

I really dont get the hate for Bo. Guy logs all the dirty works and still has 30 goals and is one of few guys that has scored 5v5 all year. He is a solid 2C but i dont see how hes a problem |

I get what you are getting at but that amounts to a rebuild & that’s unnecessary. The F depth is looking just fine & will get better in time. Pod will help even more as he continues his growth. Hog I’m 50/50 on til he finds his scoring touch. We don’t know what we have in Klimovich yet. The D is missing that stud shutdown top 4. Fill that hole somehow & the roster will be hugely improved. Not enough to be a contender but a big step towards a perennial PO team the 1st phase to contending. Nothing in the system looks to be filling that role. |

You can call it what you want but I think they are now playing to where they should be playing.
Are you a season ticket holder ? I ask because people at the games are nothing like this little group of hockey experts. People at the games are cheering for the players on the ice and not trying to move their ass out of town as fast as possible.
I know this is going anger some and set off pages of screaming but the paying customers at the games in Abbottsford and Vancouver actually cheer for all the players. They are the ones that Francesco care about and not the 20 angry elves here.
I knew Green and even Benning was a very bad decision to bring them back this year. Everyone except Vancouver media knew it was time to move on. Even the associate coaching was a mess.
Is it coincidence that there was an immediate turn around soon as those people were let go and Canucks brought in at least two real NHL coaches? Time will tell.
I think Canucks need some small additions this year like a face puncher , a third line RH center . On a bigger addition they need a Dman that can shoot the puck. I would still like to see them add a guy like Zacha Nichushkin or Heinin but overall I like the team. |

Has he consistently got the team into the playoffs? Beyond the bubble play-in tournament I mean? That's why I say he's part of the problem. He's good in spots, but he's not someone you can count on to put the team on his back for long stretches, which is what you want/need in a captain/face of the franchise. He's a solid 2C, but that's not good enough if the goal is to win THE CUP. Look at the last few teams that have won the Cup (beyond Tampa Bay x2), they all had at LEAST 2 centers on their 2nd and 3rd lines that on a bad team could easily be their 1C. We could use an upgrade, especially if we're trying to work to being an actual contender and not just trying to make the playoffs if we can every year. We need to stop blaming Green for how bad this team is, because even he gave the team a bump when he first got here. BB will be the same. |

Actually I go to games quite often, not as often as I did before COVID, but I still pay good money. My expectation is that the team is built to winning the Cup, not to entertain the fans that are just there to have fun, otherwise what's the point of having a team. I see long stretches of our so-called "superstars" like Miller, like Bo, like Boeser, like Pettersson looking like they just don't care and want to pad their stats. Even with BB in charge, that STILL hasn't changed, when Demko doesn't play they lose and lose BADLY and get exposed for what they are. That doesn't strike me as a team with good enough players to challenge for more than making the playoffs. |

Happy Easter!
Hope you have a great day.
For your off-day enjoyment, I've broken down the remaining two weeks for all the teams in the Canucks' playoff mix. The path isn't looking any easier, but Monday's game is massive.
Also, I uncovered some surprising defensive stats. Read on...

Bo is exactly the kind of players you need to win cups. WTF are you on about? He is a proven play off performer who throws the team on his back. What a retarded narrative.

Good enough about the amount of games you go to. You see first hand that the atmosphere at the games is nothing at all like it is on these threads.
You see the constant cheering and the chants. You hear the the people singing along to Simple Minds goal song. I can see it on TV never mind actually being at the game.
I say this because you get to see people actually having fun when you go to the games and unlike in here where everyone is smarter than every GM in the league every day of the year.
Now that Petey is getting back on track and players are playing to potential you see different results . I still feel you are not going to win with Bo Petey and Hughes alone but they are very decent players to add to.

What’s up with BB saying find me 3 top centers on any team better than Bo, Miller and petey. |

Pretty good Stack of C's there. I love how some in the Nucks thread still have Bo as a 'bonafide' 3LC. Guess there are alot of 30 goal 3LC's in the NHL lol. Just goes to show how sharp the fanbase is haha |
