I'd love Petan on the Jets right now, he looks good in Van!! - Ross77
1 assist in 14 games, and sure his possession numbers look good. I would not say that he would be any better than say Poganski or Toninato. |

I like this idea, but you'd have to do a few teams. not just the Jets to show any differences from team to team. - Ross77
I always say Tampa Bay should be the staple of what great drafting looks like outside the first round. See: Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point, and Anthony Cirelli. |

Think Detroit has done pretty well in this regard as well. |

His possession #’s are probably better than most of our forwards. Small sample of course. |

Last stat I seen for Wyatt he had 16G, 18A in 42 games. But that was NCAA.

It would also be interesting to see his QoC. I always liked Petan and was disappointed by the lack of opportunity he had here under Coach Maurice. It does seem though that Vesalainen is our new Petan now. |

See the Jets signed free agent centre Wyatt Bongiovanni from the NCAA.
Don't know much about him, but his stats look decent.
Jacob, know anything about the guy? - grahamzky
Sounds like the Jets 2.0 version of Luciano Borsato! |

Gawd, hope not! The guy I miss the most of all previous Jets is Brandon Tanev.
I know he priced himself out, but that guy left it all on the ice on every shift, something not all Jets do now.
One guy I would like to see Jets sign as FA this summer - Ilya Mikheyev of the Leafs. Big, fast, kills penalties and can score. 2nd or 3rd liner. Not sure the Leafs can afford to sign this pending UFA.

Tampa/ Detroit picks were Yzerman. Both he and Sakic have done great jobs.

But hey, we need big D right.
* adding on, just read this,
Logan Stanley and Brenden Dillon have the worst xGF% of any D pairing in the entire NHL this season (100 minutes or more) - Ross77
Its sad to see Stanley being paired with an anchor. |

Then how come Samberg and Dillon have been polar opposite?
Are you watching this game? Stanley has been awful, I’m sorry, but awful |

Stanley is the anchor, I'm hopeful he can still figure it out but he really is struggling.
Should be Dillon back with Pionk and a Samberg/Schmidt 3rd D pair, the top pair sucks but it is what it is. |

Stanley is not the Anchor, he’s trying to figure out his game. He’s just so young and this being his first game at MSG, he for sure would have some nerves.
Also Stanley has been a + player all year long, so I do not see how he has been super awful. |

Well its official now, the Jets have been eliminated from playoff contention.
Really hope they get Berdin in a game and callup Gawanke, they both deserve to play in their first regular season games.
I don't mind Comrie, he looks decent, as far as I'm concerned Helle can take the rest of the year off and Comrie and Berdin can play the rest of the games. |

Jets seem to score lots of goals when that bum, Mark Scheifele is not in the line-up. |

If we are looking for Nic Petan to return I can only assume we are going for Connor Bedard !
Hire an actual coach, who likes harder teams
Fire Huddy
Trade 55 (try to land a #2 Dman)
Wheeler and the “C” is now probationary
DuBois 7 x $7+
Go younger at D and spend some $ at forward and backup goalie |

I wouldn't say abysmal. In recent years, off the top of my head, 2nd round picks were good with Chibrikov, Torgersson, and Gustafsson, Samberg, and you could argue Harkins too, while he turned out to be a good asset for the 4th line, he isn't 2nd rounder value, and then in later rounds you have Nikkanen, Smith, Chisholm, Gawanke, and Kovacevic.
That is not bad, as I could see all of these guys being NHL players in the next 1-3 years. Maybe not all for the Jets, but could be solid middle-six guys found in the later rounds. - Jacob Billington
I see the Islanders 2021 2nd round pick Aatu Räty is coming over from Finland, he was taken two spots after the Jets took Chibrikov. If I remember correctly Räty was originally expected to go early in the 1st round but his stock dropped and he ended up being a late 2nd, he just had a really good season with Jukurit, hope in a year or two we're not saying we wish the Jets had drafted Räty instead of Chibrikov, never know if the Russians will even come over to North America. |

Honestly that's all I think Dubois is worth at this point but on a 7 year deal he could probably get more. |

Räty was the consensus 1st overall 12 months before the draft. He had a very poor D+0 season and ended up going way later than he should've. He will pan out to be a top 15 player from the draft, mark my words.
This is why I suggested Brad Lambert for this year. He is an incredible talent, who is having a down year. If he isn't top 15 he will be the steal of the draft
