I think you should have to stay between the circles and maintain speed. - ImThatGuy
I think they could solve it by allowing each team to have a player start at the faceoff circle in the end opposite of the goal that is being attacked in the shootout. If you slow down then you might be caught from behind.

I can follow this but what happens if they catch up to them and then penalize them to prevent a shot on goal?
Automatic goal. Or limbo contest, take your pick. - Slump Buster
For Shootout I just send out my best players to embellish penalties instead of actually trying to score. It sounds extreme but it’s showing that the solution nets us the opposite result than what was originally desired.

Semi agree with you, something to fix that would be like, put both guys(shooter and defender) at the blue line. D-man can't move till puck is touched. Bu then its not a shootout.
They really should just scrap it and extend OT. - DirtyDan
I would agree. Extend OT to 10 minutes and if no winner it's a tie. One point each.

Vegas playoff chances over the course of the season. We shouldn't take this much pleasure in this but... ah, hell.

Why not?!
It's been a decade of losing trades, blowout losses and utter darkness. This is a good thing! Many people here, including me, figured he would be tearing it up RIGHT NOW.
Instead, Jack came back slow, his team got decimated by injuries and he isn't getting to play in the playoffs (a large reason he wanted out of here). Meanwhile our returns are playing well, the team is jelling and our pick from them is getting better in the process.
Don't feel guilty for enjoying it is all I'm saying.

Who knows what he actually thinks. I can say for sure that if you are a young millionaire, the party scene in Vegas has more potential than Buffalo.
