Oh yeah they brought in a guy who hadn't played for over a year to compensate for their best player being out. Seems like it really should have payed off.

Their starter was injured for a quite a bit too.

Edmonton has poopy D and a poopy bottom 6. I don't think their goalies were completely to blame.

- DirtyDan

The guy they brought in is a borderline-superstar. Nothing to sneeze at and he has put up similar production to the guy he replaced (Stone).

Anyway, Edmonton has the 6th best record since 3/1. I think a lot of people are thinking that this is the Vegas team from 2 years ago and they just aren't.

I think he explained it perfectly

They’ve lost some of the most man games to injuries and can’t get saves and are still within reach

It’s a fair assumption but things might work out in our favor

- sbroads24

I mean the pre Tuch Sabres and post Tuch Sabres are night and day.

I wonder what Vegas would look like with a fully functioning Mark Stone for a full season

Just like gargalsons not being able to stay on his feet ect.

2 full years of your nonstop bashing. Even while the player was injured 🤔

Girgs has also proven you extremely wrong. ☝️

- Boss34

Girgs is a dime a dozen player, I can find him anywhere. Just cause he gets a rise out of you doesn't mean he's anything special. And Olofsson is played very well the last 15gms, gonna have to see what Adams and Co think.

So what if Eichel replaced Stones production.

You’re still leaving the part out of what the team would have looked like with Eichel and Stone on the ice together for that stretch of hockey.

Take Thompson and Tuch off the ice the last month and what’s the Sabres record ?

Stone is one of my favorite players in the league. That said, I think what is also forgotten is that Vegas lost a damn good player off of their roster when they traded Tuch.

Reread what I quoted from you: "Dallas is going on a gauntlet, Vegas has a weak as schedule."

Out of those 4 teams, agreed Nash has the hardest remaining. One could argue that Vegas is next as they finish 3 on the road, and Dallas has a game in hand. Then LA.

Vegas pretty much has to go 5-1, or I just don't see them making it.

- SDSabre

And I could very well see them doing this and that's where Nashville has to put together some wins against the TOP teams in the league Flames Wild Avalanche Lightning.

Seeing that Vegas has their last 3 on the road makes me feel a little better though

My point (now out of context) is that while the Knights absolutely lost a ton of excellent players, they also are able to have such a deep roster because of the injuries. If this team was fully healthy they would have had to subtract at least 2 good players. Not a huge point, I know. Anyway, we've beaten this to death.

Yeah I mean if it all results in an high end Vegas team giving us the 16th pick overall I’m over the moon.

Got to hope LA and Nashville hold up their end of the bargain

It should be interesting to see if Vegas tries to activate some of their injured players before the playoffs. In one sense they need them but then again in another sense they probably can't.

A few Sabres in the top 25 of 5v5 goals per 60 minutes since the All-Star break.

Thompson - 19th
Skinner - 24th

In all situations:

Thompson - 8th
Olofsson - 21st
Skinner - 43rd

Detached from reality post 😀😀😀

How many years has this team lacked a true leader like kyle and girgs?

See the difference...

Dallas is going the gauntlet, Vegas has a weak ass last 6 games.

I could very well see Vegas going 5-1 and Preds going 2-4 and our pick being 26th not 16th

- DirtyDan

Vegas beating Calgary didn't help our cause and that Dallas/Vegas game could be huge.

Put more of that on Kyle. Team was playing pretty good before Girgs even came back.

Mattias Samuelsson's brother Lukas has played 20 games in 4 years at WMU and has one point as a forward. What a bizarre stat line.

Yeah your right.

Last year without girgensons and with kyle they finished last.

This year the team went from playing "pretty good" basically 27th place to wear they are now.
A 100+ point pace since march 1st

Its girgensons and olofsson ☝️

Feels so good being so right about Goalofsson doesn't it? The next time we get player trajectory wrong will be the first time. Nowhere for us to go Bossman. Our takes have been all the way up since we've been posting.
