This is right. Vic's a 30+ goal man on healthy season with Mitts and Asplund. I want that line back once Don is done with the experiments. What a diamond in the rough as a 7th rounder. Which GM drafted him?

There’s a difference between what a team could project, & what they will actually PAY for him in a trade
It’s not JUST that his numbers are down THIS season
They were also down LAST SEASON as well

That’s a trend that diminishes value as opposed to being ONE “fluke” season

I don’t think blaming VO’s down numbers on Kruger will help his trade value any,
and that was the context of the convo we were having- Olofsson’s trade value

His value has certainly dipped,
but what do u think it would take to get him?

I can’t imagine LA would give a huge discount

Agree! Bring that glorious side of beef in and let Donnie whisper about meatballs in his ear…

I am sure it’d cost too much. Which is fine, I don’t see LA moving him and I’m not really willing to give up what it’d take…

I would also focus on RD and Goalie first. And then adding skilled beef to the forward ranks.

I'm not sure what your arguement is here. We can literally pay him anything without it bothering our cap at all. He was part of a very effective 3rd line during our run of good play March 1st - the St. Louis game this past Friday. Since then he's looked fine filling in on the 1st line in 2 wins. In addition, he allows our #2 PP to be as effective as most teams' #1 (since March 1st we have the best PP in the league). He's extremely valuable to us. We have no idea yet Cozens, Krebs or Mitts will ever be scorers. We know Vic is.

I don’t want to trade Olofsson
The whole discussion was in context of what he’d be worth IF we did trade him
Even though i like VO as a scorer, i don’t think we’d get a good return in a trade for him

I think there's a huge difference between his season this year and Stafford's. Stafford never drove play, never went to the front of the net. He was a perimeter player benefitting from Roy and Vanek. I saw it that one season and I always said trade him while his value is high, personally.

Tage looks like a legit 1st line player. He is huge, he can stick handle, skate and his shot is insane.

We were very wrong about SSTT.

- BeadyEyedDouche

His shooting percentage is stupid high though. I remember that one half season of Stafford being hot, his shooting percentage was the giveaway in retrospect there as well.

The difference is Thompson has a deadly shot, so I think the mean he will be regressing to is still pretty high. I think 36 goals is a combination of a lot of things, one of which is a lucky year shooting wise. He's probably still good for around 30 in an average year though.

There ya go!

That's the story of much of the fanbase. Since the RJ game especially, there's been a lot of people coming (relatively). The last game I was at, St. Louis, had as many people as the Vegas game.

- lacaprup

If they keep building on what they have going this season, the New Aud will soon be packed and rocking again. Y’all are a bunch of hockey loving freaks up there

Amazing what happens when fans don’t feel like they are wasting their time and money going to watch a game. FL games are now the place to be, an example of what happens when apathy is replaced by belief in and excitement for the team.

What needs to be looked at is where the shots come from

He’s 33rd in individual scoring chances for. So it’s getting volume and not just a shooting bender

He is the son of the most hated guy in hockey when he played (for me, anyway).
He has some snarl and not afraid to mix it up, but he’s nothing like the (imo) dirty pos player his father was.
Interesting that he grew up in Cali, and didn’t really start playing hockey until much later than most kids who eventually make it as a pro. (Think he wanted to be tiger woods as a youngster).

👍
His dad was definitely not fun to play against.
