Honestly, I don't either, but I wouldn't be blown away either. A goalie is coming. It's way too obvious.
- lacaprup

The Sabres have to spend some money cap wise either way too.

Like boychucks contract is up, so that is 6 mill and we will be under the cap min

I told a buddy of mine sign letang and malkin for 2 years 8 mill each.

I understand the sentiment. But think of it as if you were Terry pegula and and you had your heart ripped out after spending to the cap ceiling year after year. I know a lot of Sabre fans have grown to hate him, but no one can deny he has been a fan of this team since the 1970s. No one can deny he built some of the finest training facilities in the NHL for this team. Yes, the payroll is cheap as could possibly be this year, but that was not disguised from the fan base and the reasons it was done are obvious.

On top of those things he was quietly negotiating a stadium deal for his other team. Now that's done, and just at the right moment his hockey team got healthy and started to play incredibly entertaining and somewhat successful hockey. I think there are a lot of reasons to be optimistic Terry Pegula understands the history of the Buffalo sabres and good goal tending. I don't think we'll see a forward or defenseman but I think he might tell Adams to get a goal tender. He has stepped in before in the case of Josh Allen and the case of tage Thompson. He made his preferences quite clear. H***, he might tell Adams to offer mark Andre flurry one year at 15 million.

Could he get 2 years for say $22m?

You listen to the media; Adam's has consistently contradicted that in his statements, in the context of if CA coming back...if he does, he'll use his last TIme Out (down by 3 with 30 seconds to go) and punt from his own 45 on 4th and 1

Essentially exactly what Delaware North does but with their own flair so to speak. They run all the concessions and promotional activities for the cowboys stadium and Yankee stadium. I believe they also do some very high end soccer stadiums in England. It's going to be how the Pegulas and New York State separate from Delaware North over the political connection to the governess. There was never anything wrong with Delaware North, but I think legends is a more high end company. It's a nice brick in the wall of argument that the bills are going to have a really 1st class building

He's going to crack. Fan pressure will do it. It's what I choose to believe.

I cannot gainsay you, however.

The Sabres and the Golden Knights have identical records (nearly) since Jack Eichel's debut on 2/16.

VGK:13-14-2
BUF:13-14-3

Bizarre.

Pete DeBoer isn't that great of a coach. 89 was all over that.

If he returns next season, I'd bet heavily on the same VGK. Most of their most expensive players are starting to show their age.

And we trading for Shea Theodore.

They seriously offended the hockey gods when they treated MAF like some has-been. You don't do stuff like that without consequences.

I want to believe that Jack Eichel gets stuck there for a rebuild in 2-3 years.

He's an almost untradable player right now. They would never get equal value back.

He will have missed roughly 15 games.

That has an impact in his candidacy, no?

Theodore for Vegas first, and Big Cahonas Kevin makes them take Bjork.

They are such a weird team. I think they are the classic case of the parts being greater than the sum. All is roses when they are flying up ice on the attack and the ice is tilted towards the other team's net. But as soon as someone punches back and the ice is no longer tilted they are very average. Lehner also doesn't look right.

Yes. For me 60 games is the minimum for an MVP candidate. He and Sid just make it. And, by no means, does anyone run away with it this year. 8 players and 1 goalie are all legit.

Why would Vegas trade Theodore to save cap space only to take back Bjork's contract? Makes no sense. Also, we could use Bjork's contract to get to the floor if we just waive him.
