Just about to post the same thing. RJ said something like let’s appreciate JA’s talent. I assumed he meant the broad.

I mean, seriously though. A lot of women are called hot and I think it's thrown around way too much but Jesus, Mary and Joseph she's gorgeous.

Why do so many have an aversion to Power + Joker? I still think Dahlin's partner is the real need here.
- Lunaion

Joker is a fine utility player but I'm not sold on him as a bona fide top-4 d man.

So now Dahlin's been smoked and one punched. Someone want to do something?

I'm not either, but if he's not top 4 here, you really need to trade him. I prefer him with Power over Dahlin.

I'd like a complete RD makeover, but that's asking a lot of any GM.

Joker reminds me of like, if Jaro Spacek sucked.

I think dahlin needs to do
Something.

Also. I
Know we are trying different lines but these lines suck!

Not trying to be a negative Nancy but if you listen to Kevyn Adams, the overriding message is that they're going to roll back 90+ % of this roster next year. I don't expect any meaningful additions to this team beyond a D partner for Power. I fully expect a Boychuk or two in order to become compliant
- Hank Balling

I would think that we have no choice but to get 2 new goalies, that’s 10% already

Depends if Andy wants to come back. I get the sense they're totally fine with UPL/Andy. Would love to be wrong.

Underutilizing an asset who likely has good value, if he's knocked down to 3rd pair. Also an easy trade chip, if you are trying to upgrade RD.

Our third pair is not going to be seeing minutes starting very soon, so I don't value those spots very much.

Yep - I think that would be a bad idea. What has UPL done to give us any confidence he’s a #1 NHL goalie. The time he was up in the NHL is too small of a sample size. If they want to compete they need to size or trade for a Kuemper type

Roch up 1-0, Belleville down 1-0. Good 1st for playoff hopes.

That's really the crux of the issue. We don't know if they're truly interested in competing or whether they're happy with next season as another "growth year"

I recommend not listening to Adams in the pregame...

I missed that one but I can imagine what he implied.

"We're not going to block the progress of our young players by bringing in short-term solutions"

Does that sound about right?

How likely does he have good value if both you and Jcrags don't believe in him as a top 4 Dman? If neither of you believe in him, why would others in the league?

I have no issue with Samuelsson - Dahlin and Power - Jokiharju as two of the defense pairs next season, provided they get a quality third pair.

So don't trade him at the deadline unless they're blown away by the return, but they've had no talks with him about an extension and it's clear he very likely does not have a spot on the roster next season.

I don't get it.

The last few weeks here really has cemented my belief that I don’t need Hinostroza on this team next season. I apologize if that offends but it simply wastes a roster spot.

RJ, Bob Cole, Doc, and a few others are either leaving or left the broadcast booth. Should we be concerned with whom will be replacing them. There are some definite up and comers but I got a say there are some that could be in the wrong business.

1:20 more of offensive zone possession than Philly. Down 2 - 0. Thanks, Craig. Stellar job.

I like Dan Dunleavy. He reminds me of Jim Hughson who is my all-time (non-RJ) favorite. YMMV, of course

Well, I know I don't like him with Dahlin. Way too soon to say with Power, but I like him more there.

Young, cost controlled RD who clearly has good tools, I just think there would be interest in him. It would be an aggressive move this summer, so I certainly don't expect it.
