Watching other teams play its clear the Canucks aren't in that upper echelon of teams. I'm happy they're winning and making a push for the playoffs, it's great long term for development and the mindset of the young players, but they still need to make moves (some bold ones)/clean up areas of mess that are holding them back - NewYorkNuck
Yeah, definitely fun, and their schedule remaining is “easier” than Edmonton or Nashville. LA gets the ducks twice, Chicago, Seattle and Vancouver I think. You have to think they get at least 6 pts.
Yeah he probably will. Maybe they will just ban him.
Canucks are now tied for 7th in points percentage since Bruce took over. The Benning roster just needed a half decent coach.
Staying on that same page over the past 50 games.
The Leafs GAA is 3.46. They are the 4th best team at .700 but no team till Minnesota in 12th place has a GAA above 3 except for TO. Minny at 3.16 - manvanfan
Don’t know what them fancy stats say, but the eyeball test says they still give up too many shots/scoring chances. Clean that up and they could be dangerous in the future.
Nice to see everyone on the team raise their trade value. A few more games like that an Allvin is going to get a haul for some of these guys.
Nice to see fans enjoying themselves after not being able to go to games for 2 years.
I wonder if they'll play the goal song when they announce the trades.

John Gibson went 13 games without a win. I remember a few in here saying that the Canucks were in the same boat as Anaheim and that they needed to sell.
Now hoping that the Ducks play spoiler and beat them at least once or twice. It really would be great to play LA in their final game, beat them and seal a playoff spot.

I went back to 2013 and no team has won the cup that has had a GAA above 3 in the regular season.
In saying that though, scoring has gone up this year to new heights. As I had said to Lefty the other day 4-3 score is the new 3-2 this year.
I remember when STL won the cup, that first half of the season they had lost a crazy number of 1 goal games. After Jan 1st they started to win them all instead.
For the full season though Toronto is at 3.08 GAA. Tied with Minny at 3.08 and Edmonton at 3.08 for the only current playoff potential teams that are over 3 goals per game.
Winnipeg in 19th and below are all above 3 goals per game except for the Islanders.
Picked 19 because in 17th Vegas is still in the hunt for a playoff spot with the Canucks in 18th but both teams are below 3 GAA.

Nashville has a tough schedule. The Canucks did a lot of good winning last night, not just in the standings but also showing that they belong in that group vying for the last few playoff spots.
If the Canucks win out, they're in. They all know that. They've talked about it. Not likely to win them all, but neither are the rest of the teams on the bubble. Just really hoping they don't have a let down game against Ottawa and shoot themselves in the foot

You must have missed when he said that he would have some "unravelling to do" because it's wasn't going to be easy to figure out how to create cap space with a winning roster.
Should be a tired Sens team tonight, hopefully the Canucks don’t play down to their level…need a win tonight to keep those slim playoff hopes alive. Wonder if Halak starts?

Hoping they put in Burroughs for Dermott. Could use some extra physicality vs the Sens.

I just had a quick look at most teams caps, the Canucks, to the best of my knowledge, are the only team in the entire league with three defencemen taking up 20 million dollars in cap space. That’s a huge misappropriation of funds for a bubble team, it needs to be fixed!

I think Halak starts
Sens.got embarrassed by Seattle yesterday I think they prob play a hard game today

P.s. Your Flyers suck - manvanfan
Never heard of him lol, and yes, they certainly do. It’s a sad state of affairs in Philly right now. Much like the last seven years in Vancouver. Comcast needs to sell the team, the sooner, the better!
Sixers are beating up the Raptors badly though, so there is that

#Canucks switched both Sheldon Dries and William Lockwood from emergency recalls to regular recalls.
Those conversions now become Vancouver's 3rd and 4th regular recalls post Trade Deadline, and also mean that the team no longer have any regular recalls remaining.

I think Lockwood’s been decent, for an undersized player. He’s quick, has decent puck skills, brings energy and he’s not been a defensive liability.

I'm a bit surprised that the Raptors are playing so poorly the last two games.
Best team since the TDL in basketball. Mopped the floor with the Sixers, 2nd last game of the season I think it was. Young team though.
It ain't over till it's over. Just like the Canucks and their playoff push

Scottie Barnes being out doesn't help. Sixers are a challenge either way.
