Only got a chance to watch the last 12 minutes last night.
I liked how the team played good puck pursuit hockey.
The 2 standouts, in the final 12 minutes, for me anyways, were Podkolzin and Lockwood.

Abbotsford Canucks should add Brad Richardson to the coaching staff next season.

The right type of player to show the younger players what it takes to be a steady bottom 6 player in the NHL for years to come.

Greatest? I don’t know. Maybe. There’s definitely an argument for it but I’m not sure I would agree. That’s a tough one.

It was hyperbole, sorry, I would have included a but I thought you were the police so…

Worthy of a 7th round pick this year.... Big body, scouting report say that he skates very well for his size and uses his body well.

Elite says his contract is up this season. Couldn't find anything to say he had extended it. Could sign him and bring him over to Abbotsford.

Tied for scoring lead in MHL playoffs.

Canucks trade JT Miller and Jack Rathbone to the Nashville Predators for 1st round pick in 2022 draft. 2nd round pick in 2023 draft. Vancouver also receives Cody Glass and Egor Afanasyev.

Does this satisfy you NewYork?

Probbbbaly not? Haven't heard anything about Glass since he was drafted, so that's not a good sign

Like I've said as well, prospects/players > picks

The problem is, is that the Canucks need cap space to do that – those things aren't going to come cheap, either in FA or a trade. They don't have much cap space to work with (and there aren't great D free agent targets), so they'll have to jettison a bigger ticket player or two, and they don't really have good trade chips, so again they'll have to jettison a bigger ticket player or two.

It's logical to keep Miller as he's the teams best forward. But it's also logical to trade him as he'll bring in the biggest return, he doesn't fit the window, and signing him will be an increasing anchor of a contract in a few years.

- NewYorkNuck

We have shown we can win without Pearson-D!ckenson and even garland in the lineup. losing 2 or all three of those contracts sheds us 10 mil + in cap. Not that I want Garland gone but could see Pearson-D!ckenson gone this summer. At this point now there should ne no way Miller moves until next years TDL if the club is out of the PO race.

Considering what he will want to sign for, I think this is an excellent trade idea. (if we were to trade him)

Doesn't seem like too much of a reach. Especially if Nashville crashes and burns.
Wanna hear from a Nashville fan, (after they get bumped off).

Good on you for a trade Miller for, instead of just trade Miller

I would say Nashville probably makes the playoffs and loses first round First round pick would be around 18-20 I believe.

I liked the part where you didn't add salary. I think everybody can agree, getting picks and ELC's is the only way to wiggle out of cap crunch. I think Vee is right and no, or next to no cap improvement..

Spot on on Nashville, but I'll say between 15-20 to split hairs.

Okay, but you're not really get much or any of a return for those guys. So, if you shed the cap space, you're dipping into UFA (which usually means overpaying in some form) where this year's crop of D is not good as well. Or, you're going the trade route, which means with the minimal return you get from Diky and Pears, you're dipping into your own farm system or picks, which the Canucks can't afford. Unfortunately the cupboards are pretty bare on players ready to make the jump to the NHL and have an impact, so it's not like clearing those guys out allows for younger guys who are ready to take their place.

This isn't a win-now club IMO, they should be looking to compete in a couple years, not next year.

The hockey IQ level in here hits a new low with this ManhattanSchmuck.

30-13-8 .667 points percentage tied with Tampa for 9th overall in the NHL.

They are competing right now. Take your head out of your rear end.

Halak starts tonight. Gut feel for Boudreau to not overly tax Demko. In 100
instances of a goaltender playing on no rest days, the average save
percentage is .883. #Canucks

The thought is getting endorsed by Marwood. Usually tells you just how wrong that thought is.

A lot of Benning's prospects have been marinating for a while now. There will be some good surprises when camp opens.
