Throwing a hot dog AT a player on the ice/bench because heās fat is a little different than throwing a hat because some scored 3, or an octopus etc. one is juvenile and mean spirited, the others are celebratory.
Personally I think throwing anything on the ice should be a no no, but clearly this wasnāt an amusing gag.
